I need a muzzle! STRESS EATING IS FOR THE BIRDS!

I had a great weekend planned...son's friend had a birthday party in Wilmington. Daughter and I were going to take my Mother in law shopping while son went to the party. Needed some retail therapy after the week I have had. My mom was in an accident Valentines night. She is bruised all up but seems to be alright. Spent all week trying to find her another car. She called me last night for me to come and get my grandmother. She needs me to keep her this weekend. My Mom's live in boyfriend has taken a turn for the worst and they don't know if he will pull through or not. My grandmother is 94 1/2...cute as a button but ALOT of work.
I went and got her last night. Called my mother in law who is recovering from Cancer surgery to let her know our shopping trip was off. Daughter spent most of the morning pouting. All I want to do is EAT. Yesterday I didn't eat very much at all maybe my body is trying to make up for it. Not sure but I feel STRESS EATING coming on. THAT CARB MONSTER CAN BITE ME!!  I have maintained but don't want to fall into bad habits. I haven't had a minute to myself in 3 weeks. Daughter had BETA Convention, Dance Competition, and now Granny duty. I want to be on a BEACH somewhere. Would love a pedicure and a new pair of RAINBOWS!

THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT!~ Time to hit the laundry pile. Need to get lesson plans posted. CALGONE TAKE ME AWAY!
Nothing tastes as good as this feels!

Do sorry to hear about your mom and her BF. You have had one long run of stress, stress, and more stress. I know it is hard to do but I hope you find time for that Calgon bath. When you take the bath, shut your eyes and visualize a beuatiful beach, hear the sound of the gentle waves, and feel the glow of the sunshine. Now you're talking! Also, something small and tasty that you really enjoy eating might take the edge off of the impulse to eat. I even find a hot drink like SF hot cocoa helps.

I am sending you a big vitual hug!

I am not post-op so I don't know if I have the right advice.. but I would suggest some good proteins. You are running your body so hard and you need fuel to keep it going that way so you don't fall into stress eating.

I take care of my mother every day, so I know that stress. It can take you over. I hope you get some "you" time very soon!
