Protein Coffee
Protein coffee is just mixing protein powder with coffee!
A couple of ways to make it is:
1. Take some milk and put your protein in it and mix into a slurry, then pour hot coffee over top.
2. Take coffee and cool it off to under 130 degrees and add protein powder directly to it. If its hot it'll clump and get REAL nasty.
Good to see you again!

Ahh...ok
I think I will make a blend of chocolate protein powder, skim milk powder and splenda. Make a "batch" of that and add a couple of tablespoons to a cup of hot coffee...then blend in the Magic Bullet (it 's what I do with my tea every morning)...maybe even add a sugar free flavour shot of caramel.
MMMM
Thank you...and it's nice to be back..I have been lerking hear and there lol.

Oooo - congrats on the panni! You'll be SO happy!
I'm not sure how well the blend will work adding it directly to hot coffee, I think you may still get the nasty clumps..... I mix my protein powder in cold milk first, mix it up real good, then add the hot coffee (and other good stuff) to it.

Ditto to that. Pre-op, I made a full pot of coffee, let it cool and kept in the refrigerator to drink cold with protein added when I was ready to drink it. Aren't iced coffees and cold latte's something most people pay high dollar for? LOL Seriously, added to hot liquids it's like the protein curdles. ack!
Hi Wendy!! I'm keeping myself in check because of a few twinges here and there every once in a while, but all in all, I'm doing great, Thanks!!
Well, the new Avatar is a gorgeous coyote. Having a propensity to be known as the joker of the animal kingdom aka Wylie, I have been fond of them since childhood. To the tune of even calling the Joker my spirit guide when I'm on that sort of spiritual path. I think this picture shows he was watching the surgeon very closely. heh heh heh
Pull up the picture so you can admire the weave job and not a hair is out of place. It's beautiful. :-)

Hmm...I add my mix to my hot tea and with the Magic Bullet there are no clumps. I made the mistake once of adding it to my tea, then going to do something, coming back then wisking it...then I got lumps.
I think if I wisk it right away in the bullet, it won't clump...I will let you know!
I am excited now lol

I warm my milk first in my bullet cup......not to hot....just warm enough so it doesn't cool off the coffee to much. I then add my chocolate protien powder to it and blend. I then add it to my fresh brewed espresso with a flavor shot. SUPER YUMMY!

I make a fresh cup of coffee (or get from Starbucks) and then add my cream, sf syrups, or whatever...then I add the powder directly to the cup and stir. The protein powder I have is easy dissolved and only clumps if the coffee is lava hot...
I've tried the paste method and others but I found that if I just wait a few to let the coffee cool enough to add, then I pour the powder in and stir. I like to NOT put it all in at once more like sifting in while stirring...
You'll get your method down and it is yummy. I have also done the vanilla protein powder to spicy teas (chai, and apple spices, etc) and it is yummy too...
Good luck and have lots of fun at it. Once you get it down, it is a good thing :)
