Im going to go crazy just waiting for my insurance. I feel like a 5 year old the day before Christmas. This is going by so slow....I don't see how people can wait a year or even 6 months. I only have to wait 15 days max...But still its driving me nuts

Yep! These are days when it would be fun to go out and shoot targets or lay into a punching bag scrub a kitchen from top to bottom...whatever. Hang tough, babeeee!

Get busy.  Go to the gym, go for a walk, take a long bubble bath.  Get your mind involved in something else.  It will happen and then you will be on to the next phase.

Funny.  My Bariatric Center even makes their new patients sign a Release Form of sorts, stating that they understand it is going to take 4 - 6 months for all the necessary clearances to go through.  And the time just FLEW by!!!   LOL

It'll be here before you know it April!

I had to appeal an intial denial - it took me close to a year. It was frustrating but I used the time to learn and prepare.   I was really ready with my eyes wide open by the time my surgery finally happened.  So my advice is use this waiting period to list questions, do research, and prepare your mind, body and spirit.  It won't be time wasted.

Good luck on your journey, April!

I'm with you April32!!!  I finished my 6 month required class and am in the shoot waiting for the paperwork to come together so I can even be submitted to the insurance company.

I have a personality where I over think everyone's process --- work processes especially --- so I am preparing an email to the director of my center in my mind!!!  It will be nice and constructive and NICE!

Hang in there -- try not to drive yourself crazy...

I started my process back last April.  It has been extremely stressful.  I have completed everything as of last Friday when I met with the Surgeon.  I had to have some blood work done on Friday that also has to be submitted to my ins company along with all of the other million things they require.  They said it would be a week before they get everything together and send off to ins then it could take a month to hear back from ins if I was approved.  I pray that it is much sooner.  As soon as I hear they submitted I will be on the phone every day bugging the ins co. LOL  I do have a tenative surgery date on the books March 17th :)Good luck I hope you get your approval soon.

Thank you all so much. Your all so very encouraging!  I did call the insurance company today and they said it was in the review process. They said they are running about a 15 day processing time. I guess that's pretty small compared to other or if they are over run with pre approvals. OH well it will happen all in God's timing! I'm just ready to get on with my life. I'm 32 and I want this so bad. And to know its just a bit away I'm just getting really excited!

Thanks again
