Craving ice cream

Im craving chocolate ice cream.  I havent had any ice cream for at least  15 - 16 months but for some reason I realllllllly want some now.   I see people talking about protein ice cream.  I dont have an ice cream maker though.   A sugar free fudgcicle wont cut it either.   Anyone have any recipes for faux ice cream or know of any semi healthy ice cream to buy?   Cindy

If you are a real ice cream freak then I suggest you invest in an ice cream maker.  Amazon has them for a reasonable price and the protein ice cream really does satisfy the craving.

Another thing is Baskin Robbins usually has at least one flavor is sugar free. It has sugar alcohols though so if you are sensitive then forget it but I had some on my birthday and it was so good I couldn't believe it was sugar free.

I prefer the Bryers No sugar added my second choice is the carb smart.  Both satisfy the ice cream cravings when I have them.  I also have an ice cream maker that i love to use in the summer.  I add all kinds of stuff to our ice cream including protein power, flavor syrups, nuts and sugar free pudding mixes.

You can also make a Thick protein shake and put it in the freezer for a bit.

Seriously, Cindy, google the Cuisenart ice cream maker. It's fairly inexpensive, makes soft-serve in under 20 minutes, and is dead easy to use. Basically, you make a protein shake, and the cannister freezes it into ice cream.

I just got back from the store.......getting ready to try some of this chocolaty creamy goodness....   Thanks Gina!!!!

As far as an ice cream maker.....Im not a really big ice cream eater.  Used to get the hankering for it maybe once or twice a year.

Thanks everyone, I knew I could count on you guys.  Now Im off to have a mouthgasm      Cindy
