Good Morning. Casualties of war

Human nature loves turmoil.

If one doesnt like it, then ignore. We have the ability to chose. I chose not to let other people's opinion get me upset.

i lurk on the VSG board, but never post. It's like a war zone there and sometimes I get nauseated at all the unnecessary bloodshed.

Liz, i appreciated your simple statement, and was it you Rebecca that also made a nice post?  One of our other LWs chimed in, with grace and kindess, of course.

After scanning a few lines of the post I closed the thread without really reading.  The tone of the post made me think "You are screaming so loudly I cannot hear what you say."   And then, because I'm a born skeptic, I thought "Methinks thou dost protest too much."

God gave me a very clear sign what surgery I was to have.  He even changed my mind for me!  So, while I'll always be a RNY wanna be, you VSG goddesses are my gastronomique sistas!

Tracey, you said exactly what I was thinking. Me thinks thou dost protest too much. Why is it so important? Nothing personal but who cares what surgery someone has or even if they have surgery? So you feel validated in your choice? I swear I sometimes wonder if these people were making money off of pushing the surgery, they are so zelous. It is almost like it is evangelical. Like a new religion that is being pushed. My God is better then your God.

Well said. I leave tomorrow for surgery on Monday. I've been second guessing myself for the past few days. I haven't read the posts that may be discouraging, but still value the encouragement and support from folks here.

I did a lot of second guessing, too. That's normal. I just wanted to wish you well and reassure you that Dr Aceves and his team will take very good care of you. :)

You will be fine, second guessing yourself is normal. Just let us know as soon as you can how you are, ok?

What a wonderful Valentine's Day present: a LW Goddess Toga.
While doing my pre-op stuff in DC on Monday afternoon, I'll be in mentally doing the Hail to the LW Goddess dance for you....
