X-post: Looking for a new protein powder
I'm a Syntrax Nectar fan too. I prefer it with unsweetened soy or almond milk or mootopia than with water, but it mixes well and has a thin consistency that will work with water. I put it in the blender with ice or sometimes frozen fruit. I also change it up with davinci sf syrups. Really, I prefer vanilla or chocolate. When I want fruit flavor, I pull out the davinci syrups. But the fruit flavors with water are beter than Special K protien water.
I haven't been able to tolerate the Isopure. It gave me an allergic reaction in the first months post-op. Nectar has never been my friend and I've tried several flavors.
My fav is from GNC. Hydro Whey - 140 calories/2 carbs/ 30 protein per scoop. It makes a great hot protein cocoa or a good cold shake.

post op I only found 2 I can tolerate, very lightweight don't feel like milkshake, more of milk + cocoa density like:
- Pure Protein (35 gr. per can) frosted chocolate flavor and
- EAS carbcontrol French Vanilla flavor (I only buy the carbcontrol one, the original has to many carbs)
both come ready to drink. right now I can't tolerate the ones I have to mix myself.
