X-post: Looking for a new protein powder

I've been using Isopure exclusively since my surgery, as it was the only one I could tolerate back then. Now I'd like to find another good quality protein with less calories. Any suggestions?

I like the Syntrax Nectar line.  The chocolate truffle is real good.  What they also have is a line of fruity flavors.

The calories run fro 90-100 per scoop.  I also like the Whey4Ever line from Vitamin World.  Again, 100 or less calories a scoop.

They both are Isolates and mix real well.



 

Thanks Jody. I ordered Syntrax sample packets from netrition.com. I'm hoping to find something new and different.

I actually use the big bag of Muscle Milk powder from Costco. The most cost effective choice for sure and it's a good protein. It's 140 calories per scoop -- might be more than you are wanting. It has 26g of protein.

I did just order the Syntrax Matrix Mint Cookie on Jodi's advice. I can't wait for that to show up!

I like the Nectars too!

I like Dymatize Elite Whey protein @ Vitamin Shoppe $19.99 a jug and 24g & 114 cal PER SCOOP!!! Bakes well, mixes great and goes smoothly in hot liquids too...

As a back up - if ever needed it...body fortress @ walmart...cheap in price but not as high in protein and not low enough in calories for me...

I love the nectars too. Right now I am loving  Max protein which is low carb too.  My local GNC now carries it and in the am I like it in coffee and hot choc.  It dissolves the best of all proteins that I have tried.  Good luck in your search.

I like the Syntrax Nectars.  My favorites are Fuzzy Navel, Lemon Tea or Latte Cappuccino.

I really like the Designer Whey brand!  I usually buy chocolate and use it in my mocha lattes.  I also like the Syntrax Nectar and would suggest buying some samples since many of the flavors are on the REALLY sweet side!
