My pouch and body has decided I need a break from eating apparantly. There is a stomach bug going around and I must have it ~ or, ate something bad yesterday (not really sure what can't figure it out) or like I said, body says..."restart".....**sigh** So my focus will be to get protein shakes in today and vitamins...no gym today

how about ya'll....whatcha got going on?

Need feedback...do you like the fitness tips posted?? I'll search some more so any requests, just put it out there and I'll search

Have a great Friday!!!

Well, I've been more like ravenous lately -- not actual growling hunger, but wanting to eat. I don't like it.

This morning, I hit the 5:30 a.m. spinning class. Stayed for 50 minutes. I am taking my running gear to work today to see if I find time for it.

Stress does that to me...gives me the "must put something in my mouth" feeling...I hate it too...
I have to bring lots of fruits/veggies with me so that if I must munch and crunch, it is on low cal healthy stuff.

Did you get time in for your run @ work?

Well, I've been MIA due to 1. a bad head/chest cold that knocked me on my ass, which was followed by my husband getting the same thing and THEN, 2. our main sewer line backing up and us losing our ability to use the toilet, shower, dishwasher, laundry, everything for almost a week while my stepdad tried to unblock it. We ended up calling Roto Rooter at 8pm Wednesday night and having them unclog it. They pulled over SIX LBS of tree root out!! BUT, we can now shower, do laundry, etc.

ANYWHO, I went back to TKD tonight for the first time in like 2 weeks! :) It felt good. I plan to go to DH's kettlebell class tomorrow. :)

Without being able to work out (no laundry/shower) OR eat quantity like I used to to manage stress, I really realized how much I used to depend on one or the other for stress relief. Needless to say, the last week has been HELL. I feel immediately better now that I got a workout in. It's amazing how much we depend on our stress relievers and how bad it gets when we don't have access to them anymore!

Hi LWs,
Sorry for all of the ickiness this week!  Stomach bugs and cold an inexplicable hunger are no fun.

Yesterday I planned to go to the gym, but a series of unexpected events derailed that plan (like my flat tire, etc).

But then I went out with a friend to a party at a club, and I danced all night.  For hours, nonstop. And since I was thinking of it as a workout, I did all kinds up jumping and hi-impact stuff.  It was a great workout and an excellent release of stress, too.

I hope all of you are feeling better!

For me something strange this week.  I've been under a lot of stress but I'm having the opposite reaction and my Sleevie just feels wiggly and not that interested in food.  I'm eating more greek yogurt and berries along with soft fish to get in protein.

I guess I need to jump back into the fitness fun since I've been cleared to get in more exercise and see how my back responds.  I did pretty good this week.

Wednesday - walked 3+ miles
Thursday - Pilates class - just had class three and love it!
Friday - Yoga class followed by walking 3+ miles
Saturday - today I'm going to go for a 1.5 hour hike in the redwoods for serenity's sake, then meeting a friend to walk 2 hours in SF this afternoon.

So far so good with my back.  I'm spending a lot of time stretching and working with my Theraband here at home to try to keep my back and legs from tightening up which then causes lower back pain.   Next week it's on to light weights for the first time since October.

Heck, I've never stopped thinking about all of you having fitness fun, just wasn't feeling up to posting because exercise was limited to some easy walking.
