XP My Pyloric Valve is Gone Forever

I went for my 6 month check up today and I finally asked about my surgery and I got a copy of my surgery report.  I found out the surgeon did a gastrectomy.  He removed everything from the bottom of my pyloric valve up.
I should have assumed that would happen because I am sure there wasn't a lot left to work with after my sleeve but I thought they did a resection of my stomach like they normally do.
I am sad because there is no going back, ever.  I know WLS is permanent but there was always a part of me that thought if it really got back I could get my stomach put back together again.  Now I know that I will never have a normal stomach.
I am glad that I am not having any problems at least at this point.  I just have to get used to the idea.  I also found out that he lengthened my common channel to 200 cm.  I don't understand the whole configuration though.  Next time I see him I am going to ask him to draw me a diagram.  I understand better by seeing something.

Dang! I wish he hadn't destroyed your sleeve. So you have a pouch, no remnant stomach and a 200cm common channel? Sounds like you're still going to have some some pretty hefty malabsorption to me. Several DS surgeons give their LW DSrs 200cm common channels and they have malabsorption of vitamins just like those of us with 100cm common channels. They have less bowel issues and still have to stay low carb. Some are more prone to constipation. If I were you, I'd get on Vitalady's vitamin plan for DSrs and see how your labs are in 3 months. If they come up to optimal levels, you might try to cut back to something more like her RNY plan.

Definitely get a drawing from him. You need to know what your pouch and duodenum are connected to and how long all the limbs are not just your common channel.

I do have the limb lengths.  The alimentary limb is now 150 cm and the biliary limb is now 170 cm.  The biliary limb had been 270 cm.
I wish I had a way to get this report to you.  I would like to know what my pouch and duodenum are connected to, too.  That is the confusing part to me.
I just had my full labs and all was good.  I am going to keep doing what I am doing and watch for any trends downward.  I do know that many of my levels that had previously been checked had improved so that is a good thing.  I was told that I wouldn't have much malabsorption.  I am taking a lot of supplements.  My Vitamin D level almost doubled from Oct. 10 to Jan. 11 so I am at least absorbing that.
I was concerned about a 200 cm, too, because I recall that some people were given that in their initial DS and they still lost.  I do have constipation so in a way that is good.  And I do eat very low carb, under 50 a day with no refined carbs at all.

What does XP mean? I looked up on a slang website and there were 29 definitions, but none looked appropriate.

Sorry you have to deal with new upsetting information. What was your original surgery? What was the newest surgery? Why did you need second surgery? I am learning as I go. If these are too personal, I apologize in advance.

Glad things are going well.

XP means cross post, I posted it on another forum.
My first surgery was in 2002.  It was a very malabsorptive procedure, too much for me so I had surgery to make it so I didn't malabsorb so much.  While he was in there he turned my stomach, which had been a very large sleeve, into a pouch.  What I didn't realize at the time is he also took out most of my remnant stoma*****luding my pyloric valve.  Most people with the RNY keep their remnant stomach and pyloric valve even though it isn't used.
