Good Morning!!  How cold is it in your hometown?  It's 2 degrees here.  School was delayed again so I have to leave work to take the DGD's to the bus stop.

Are your eating habits different in the winter than the summer?  DH is so tired after working outside in the winter that he just wants something hot and quick so he can relax for a few hours before bed.   I am sooooo looking forward to summer, steak on the grill, fresh fruit, and ice cold Protein drinks by the pool.

Hi Roz, it's 36 in Charlotte, forecast high is 47 today.  Sunny and breezy.

I grilled some chicken breasts on the grill outside this past weekend, it was 53 degrees.   I so love NC because we get days like that even in February.  I'm originally from WI.

Thursday's plan:

B:  Protein coffee (this time w. 1 1/2 scoops powder and 1/2 c skim milk), I have this right after I've finished my workout, then I have a solid meal "breakfast" about an hour later.  Does this count as two meals, or a meal and a snack?  I don't know.  All I do know, is I can't stomach solids first thing.

2 turkey meatballs, 2 tablespoons marinara, 1 oz cabot 75% reduced fat cheese
362 cal, 13 fat, 8 carbs, 59 protein

L:  1/2 c fat free cottage cheese, 2 oz reduced fat feta
187 cal, 8 fat, 9 carbs, 23 protein

D:  2 oz grilled chicken, 1/4 c marinara, 1 oz mozerella cheese
182 cal, 10 fat, 4 carb, 23 protein

totals:  732 cal, 30 fat, 21 carbs, 104 protein

Oh boy, lots of cheese.  It's the cheesehead in me coming out I guess.

Workout today was treadmill .5% incline, did 4.18 miles in 65 minutes.  Long intervals of 1/2 mile run, 1/2 mile walk, did 4 intervals, so I actually RAN for 2 miles.  My best ever.

I've started listing my Protein Drinks at Protein.  I was listing them as snacks and when I read my menus I felt like it looked like I was having a lot of snacks and they aren't really snacks....they are necessary for me to maintain and be healthy.

NC would be a lot different than WI.  Last winter we grilled outside a lot but we haven't this winter yet.  I'm guessing probably about the beginning of March we should have some nice enough days to do it.

We used to go to a cheer comp in Charlotte.  We are going to Virginia Beach this year instead.

LOVE the totals!!!!

Thanks Roz...

i get the egg whites in the cartons in the store. It's pricey sometimes but the amount I eat...it last for a long time :)

Also, it is easier for me to calculate totals on protein and calories when the label has all the info for me. I'm just too crazy about not knowing exactly whats what on my totals and it always has bothered me to just toss the yolks...lol I know I'm silly...

I'm going to have to check those out and it seems like a lot less mess than cracking and separating eggs.
