I LOVE WI-FI :-) Post-Op Update!
HAHA!!! Jeannie, it was just a real strong desire to convince everybody to let me go home as early as possible!! What's bad is when there's so much beeping going on that you start blaming your roommate's machines when it's your own. Nothing like knowing where the 'silence" button is! 60 seconds is just not long enough though. ROFL! My hips are sore from the walking girl, and I'm taking it easy today and tomorrow. Get up and walk to get another one ounce of liquid every 15 minutes and to tinkle when needed. Home for R&R. Yessssssssssssss!
No Worries, Sue!! I was glad to be able to get online and do it. My hips are sore from all the walking I made myself do and I'm staying in my jammies surrounded by furbabies today, other than the regular take a shower & cook something for dinner requirement. Set my alarm clock for every 15 minutes so I get up to get an ounce of one thing or the other to drink. Just finished 8 ounces of homemade duck stock, strained really well. That was yummy!
Look at your trackers Sue!! You go girl!! :-))

OMGosh That's hysterical Tracey! Shall Smithsonian be added to the list of things newbies need to take with them to Hospital? Well, let's see how it works for you before we make a decision on that. Remember, it only works if you have somebody else toodling behind you pushing your pole! LOL
My babies are littler than some (see pics if you wanna) and the Beagle was the only one I had to arm myself with a body pillow against. rofl! She curls up behind the knees nicely once she gets settled.
Thanks for asking. :-)
FYI: The Ruthie attitude includes being extremely witty under the influence and giving all the guys on the Surgical & Anesthia team a hard time. Boy... sure hope you're up to it. lol :-P

Would love to see the furbaby photos. Did I miss them somewhere?
Me? Up to the challenge of extremely witty? Not a problem! I'm at my wittiest when I'm putting on the brave face, and I don't need to be under the influence to whip out the comedy. Thank God I have a sense of humor -- it's accepted even where AMEX and Mastercard are not.
When I had my EGD, the team was wonderful, and we exchanged a few quips. The EGD anesthesiologist offered to work my gastrectomy case, so I've already developed a slight relationship with her.
I should make a sign that says "Caution: Ruthie Attitude switch is engaged. Any attempt to avoid laughing could prove hazardous to your funny bone. "
That sign could go just below the one taped to my navel that says "Pssst! Could you retrieve the quarter I swallowed when I was 3?"
