STALL has been broken
My niece was all over me the other day, saying that she lost most of her weight the first 3 months and I was eating so much more than I should be at this time.
She was on Protein shakes only in the first couple of months but she suffers horribly from dumping syndrome and I know she is malnourished..she does take her vitamins etc..as she is now a health nut! Her words hurt but they came from a good place so I'm glad that I decided to go back to basics and started posting here.. It was definately a step in the right direction.
When did you niece have her surgery? Why do you feel she is not getting enough nourishment? I live mostly on my Protien Drinks and I feel super healthy, my labs are good, and I have a ton of energy. Does she still dump??

Congratulations to you also!!
Roz, I went to the doctor's today, not the dietician but the nutritionist MD.. I don't know the exact title and I spoke to her about menu's and how I can get in the Protein without all the calories and she wants me to tell YOU.. (my personal ANGEL) that you need to know that I'm only 4'11"..I lie and say I'm 5'2" all the time.. but she would like me to stay on the course that you described with a little bit of amendation. She is so happy that I've found this forum and encouraged me to stay here.
This is my "menu"..sort of..
1. 2 shakes a day with one of the shake's being in the am with a hard boiled egg or a slice of cheese.
1. 1 main meal concentrating on protein and veggies only.
I should be getting at least 65-100 grams of protein..but if I only get in 85 she's okay with that.
I have a whole list of new vitamins to get..I'm also going to be taking Vitamin D once a week and to keep up with my excercise program.
I'll know what the lab's were in a couple of days and will let you knnow.
and..on the doctor's scale, I weigh 180 pounds today!!! FINALLY DOWN!
And congrats on breaking your stall.
