X-post - proof of changes in clothing sizes...

... as if we didn't already know!

I'm wearing a pair of size 2 J.Crew khakies in their "favorite fit."  They're between a mid-rise and a low-rise.  With them, I'm wearing a belt that I've had since high school days (40 years old) that I used to wear with hip-hugger jeans in the hippie era.  It's one hole tighter now, and I was a size 12 then.

My actual size isn't so different from what it was then - but manufacturers' sizes are!  This is why choosing the size in clothing you want to be probably isn't a great goal strategy: there is no uniformity.  (and guys - before you chime in telling us how your pants are done by inch sizes, a recent study showed that those were skewed too, and the closest actual measurement to the claimed size was 2 inches bigger!)

Because this {______________________________________________} is 2 inches.  Right?

Hmmm... wouldn't most men call it 8? LOL!  (sorry, Charles!)
