Taking Vits while in hosp
If you want them I think you'd have to supply them. After my hysterectomy I was on so much pain medication that I probably wouldn't have remembered to take them.
I LOVE my hysterectomy now!!!! No more periods and no move cramps....YEAH!!!

Cindy, skipping them for a day or two is not going to hurt your levels. Just make sure you get right back in the routine of taking them once home. If you do want to take them with you, do so but remember, if you don't take them while there, don't panic. Liz

Hospitals may give them to you if the doctor tells them to, but it will cost more, and probably won't be ther right kind, and I wouldn't expect them to do it without a special order to do it. I don't think a few days of missing would hurt, but if I were you, I'd take them with me. Just clear it with your doctor. I know before surgery I've had to stop taking my multi because of the E I believe, but I could start back right after. On a side note, When I had my plastics, I brought a suitcase of protien drinks with me to supplement the horrible hospital food that did not meet my nutritional needs. I just poured them over ice. I am very glad I did. Protien also promotes healing, so my doctor had me raise the amount of protien I was taking in while I healed. I tend to get very nauseated after surgeries, so protien drinks came in extra handy when the bad hospital food tasted extra bad due to my nausea.
