Good Morning. It's 75 degrees in Nassau right now

Ahh...75 degrees at 6AM. Can you believe that? Mentally and physically gearing up for this cruise to the Bahamas. I ordered some shoes, tops w/matching hoodies and a swim cover-up yesterday. Now the question is, how do I pack all my clothes and my protein and my vitamins and my toiletries in one bag? One thing at a time, I guess. This is supposed to be a relaxing trip, right? lol

I need a volunteer to take the Pre-ops posting and LWs Having Surgery This Week post. Any takers? Reminds me...I gotta get someone to take the Bites & Vites thread on the DS board too. Better start a To-Do list.

What's on your To-Do list for the next few weeks?

Gina, send me the files and I'll post them for you here on the LW board.

Better get a vet to handle the DS board tho.

I have my 2 week follow up with my surgeon this morning, want to be a fly on the wall?

Gina, you are going to have a WONDERFUL time on your cruise.  If you like martinis and cosmos and stuff like that, find their martini bar, most ships normally have one, and they stay very happening places  Also, take a chance and try out the spa salon for your hair.

We can pack 10 days of cruise clothes (including a tux and two evening wear outfits) in two regular sized checked bags and one small carry on. The trick is to pack just 3 pr of shoes and NO T-shirts: buy tshirts on the cruise.  oh yeah, pack  your swimsuit in your carryon so you can change once you get on the ship and go lounge-- your luggage might not show up until later that evening. And bring some magnets: the walls of your cabin are most likely metal, so you can hang your daily ship's newsletter,  invitations, note to the steward and each other etc on the wall near the door.

My 2 week to-do list includes
--finish my Dear Me letter, which I've started but want to make even better for those "Why did I DO this?" moments,
--finish our business taxes, for which I have to do our final checkbook reckoning
--call my PCP this am and go pee in a cup.  I feel a kidney infection coming on, of all the times for this to happen.
--and in a week from tomorro at this time, i'm planning to have a barium swallow, show i'm not a leaky gal, do some sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, and then the next day, go home, home, home from the hospital!!

I've always dreamed of going on a cruise.  Have a blast Gina and send us a few pictures!!

I have a carry on like a computer bag that I take all of my protein in (they search it every time), a book, and basic necessities in case my bag is late or gets lost.  Always carry a few hand held games too but now I have my netbook...yeah!

My To-Do-List is getting all of our arrangements made for FL.  Airfare is up over $400.00 for the days we want.  House is booked, but all of the other details and tickets still need to be worked out.

Still have a few competitions in Pittsburgh, 1 in OH, and 1 in Virginia Beach but most of those arrangements are made by the gym.

I'm terrible at packing - I always take way too much - I like to make sure I have a backup for everything.

In the beginning I used to carry all my protein and vits with me in my carryon, but now I pretty much pack them.  I'd take some with me just in case.

I'd LOVE to go somewhere where its going to be warm.  BF and I were planning on taking a vacation in March or April, but with me buying the condo and medical bills on both sides, don't think its going to happen.  They're also doing a "reorganization" at work - so I'll find out on March 28th if I'm affected or not....  no sense in taking expensive vacations if my job is in jeopardy!

But other than that, I have to get packing things up for the move into my new condo.

I'm a horrible packer.  I take way too much stuff.  No way could I get everything into one bag.   Hope you have a great time.  Be sure to post some picture for us so we can be really jealous!!

I really need to finish getting my tax info together and take it to the CPA so he can do our taxes.  I used to do this myself, but it was just one big stressful thing I decided to get rid of and DH was fine with that.

We have DGD#1's two year birthday party Saturday.  I'm doing the cake - Minnie Mouse.  So I'm off tomorrow to work on this.  It has been a while since I decorated a cake, my hands don't let me do it for long periods of time anymore.  Sure hope it turns out really good.  DGD#2's birthday part is in two weeks.

Roll your clothes....and I've heard if you "wrap" your wrinkle-ables in tissue paper after you fold them (or roll them) you can help prevent the wrinkles.

Have fun --- eat some conch fritters --- that, the open air market and alcohol are the only things I really remember about Nassau...
