Like others said, your taste may really change after surgery so I wouldn't stock up on too much protein right now.

I wish you a speedy approval. 
for protein sample selections, I found www.vitalady.com to be great.  In fact, I'm popping over there right now to order some more for post surgery.

My brother had wls and also found, like many of you, that his tastes change. I'm going to try some samples, but I won't invest in any sort of supply until after the surgery.
