12 flights of stairs not even out of breath!

Daughters school participated in the NC Beta Competition this weekend. The elevators were hopping so we decided to take the stairs. 12 flights of stairs not even out of breath now that is alot different than a year ago. A proud day not only of my daughter who was one of 25 kids in the nation to received  a National Beta LEADERSHIP award but also of myself who tromped right up behind her 12 flights of stairs and back down. She had a little twinkle in her eye when she turned around to see how I was doing. I think I made her proud even though she would never admit it. LOL. My hubbies mother was doing so well he was able to go with us. What a wonderful experience for all of us! Pictures are posted. Not sure how to post them on here.

Nothing tastes as good as this feels!

I so look forward to a day like this post surgery.  I work in a hospital and often take the stairs but would LOVE to not be huffing if I tackle more than two flights!  Congrats to you AND your daughter!!!

What a wonderful NSV - congrats!  I live on the third floor (a far cry from 12 flights).  I am so appreciative that I now am able to go up and down the stairs without a thought.  It was in my top ten reasons for the surgery!

Thanks for sharing.

My weight will let me climb stairs now, it's just my hips and knees that still don't like them.

Congrats to both of you.  And I'm glad DHM is doing better.  He needs to get to enjoy some of those good times too.

What a happy post. I hope you are past the worst with your mother-in-law, sounds like it may be. It is so fun to do something without thinking, then realize how far you have come.

That is wonderful!  I love the little things.  Not sure I could do 12 flights but I do walk up and down the steps in our house with no problems now. Actually ran down the other day to answer the phone.  So, I guess I can hold off on moving to a one story apartment for a while!
