Menus and Miles Monday Feb. 7th
Congrats Packers Fan!!!! That was a great game last night but did you do GREAT with your food choices?? I had a couple handfuls of Honey BQ chips and about 6 mini pretzels with dip, but I feel like I did pretty darn good. I took 1 tiny bite of a brownie and decided it was way to sweet for my liking and not worth getting sick over.

I've been tracking every meal since 1 month pre-surgery on mynetdiary.com, but I thought it would be instructive to see what others are eating. So to get and give feedback, thought I'd start posting here too. One thing I haven't been doing is pre-planning what I'm eating. I basically make it up as I go along. However, that might not be the best way for me long term, as I don't want to experience calorie or carb creep. Doing a post first thing each day might help me better control my intake.
I'm about 8 weeks out from RNY. Here it goes:
B:
Protein coffee, (decaf coffee w. 1 scoop muscle milk 100% Whey vanilla)
1/2 cup greek yogurt mixed with 2 Tbsp Polander All Fruit-Strawberry, splenda and SF van syrup
307 cal, 2 fat, 36 carbs, 37 protein
L:
1/4 cup tuna salad (made with light mayo, pickle relish, and frenchs mustard)
1 piece string cheese
176 cal, 11 fat, 6 carb, 16 protein
S (around 2:30):
Nectar Caribean Cooler Protein mixed with 8 oz diet V8 Splash
100 cal, 0 fat, 3 carb, 23 protein
D:
2 Turkey Meatballs w. 1/4 cup low sugar marinara sauce
1/4 cup canned green giant green beans
138 cal, 9 fat, 7 carb, 10 protein
Total:
721 cal, 21 fat, 52 carbs, 86 protein
I was amazed at how many carbs were in the Polander All Fruit: 21 grams. I've already eaten it, but tomorrow, I might just skip the fruit or cut it in half as my add-in to my yogurt.
As for MILES, I did 2.5 miles on the elliptical, then did upper body weights, situps and lunges today.

Glad you joined us!!
Most of your carbs are coming from good sources but you could probably find something good to put in your yogurt that has less carbs. I have to doctor up my Greek Yogurt or I can't get it down. I use NSA (no sugar added) cherry pie filling and SF cheesecake pudding mix and they probably have a lot of carbs too but to me it's worth it. It's a much healthier dessert than some other choices I could make.

I just looked at the NSA cherry pie filling: 1/3 cup has 35 calories, 0 Fat, 8 carbs, and 3 Sugars. Not near as bad as I thought it might be.
