I had to do it today...

 Truth is  Jody  U THINK she was  twelve  but she may have been quite a bit older than that ....  I adopted a  cat i thought was  a tiny kitten but she was just a malnourished  and abused young adult who always remained a tiny size .  
 
If U adopted her as an older animal  her age was probably  more or less a wild guess .....

Sounds  like she really did have Kitty  Dementia  ....  and that said im really  Sorry  for Your Loss .

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have three girls and next to my kids, they mean the world to me. My oldest kitty is 11 and she is getting slower and I hate knowing someday I'll have to make the same decision as you. It sounds like you made the best decision, even if it was the hardest.
