Confession - angry crackers

I feel sick to my stomach.  I just ate almost a serving of Triscuit Thins for no sane reason.  I had just gotten off a conference call during which I felt I was being subtly but publicly scapegoated without cause.  What did I do as soon as I got off the call?  I started to stuff myself with carbs.  I am writing this as a way to say NOOOOO - I will not eat to stuff my anger.  I will instead go warm up my car and shovel away those unnecessary carb calories.

Before I do that, I will throw out the crackers!

Isn't it crazy easy how those old habits can sneak in?  Good for you for stopping and replacing bad behavior.

Amy, way to go in dealing with this.  I was in pretty much the same place last week.  You stopped yourself before you even ate a whole serving.  Congratulations.

Thanks for your support.  I am feeling much better after a little shoveling, a little breathing, and a little self - forgiveness.

I have been learning to love my pouch and my body.  I realize when I choose to eat angry crackers, I am only succeeding in abusing my pouch and my body.  Truly innocent victims.  I either need to address the underlying problem or let it go.  In this situation, my options were limited.  Letting it go!

Well, it would be worth a blip on the scale for this little life lesson.

Thanks again.  I love you all.
Amy

Hi Amy, way to go coming to talk about it.  How are you feeling tonight?  Be careful if you mull over the call in your head so that you don't upset yourself again.  I know how difficult it can be to let go of something when you feel that you've been wronged.  Good on ya for knowing that you were harming yourself and not those that you're really angry with.

Heck, you got your drive shoveled in the process.  Bravo!
