One Year Dr. Vist Yesterday

We made the 5 hour trip to and 5 hour trip back  for my 1st yearly  visit to my Surgeon yesterday.  All labs were good, except for my iron being on the low end of normal so I have to be better about taking my iron daily.  ( That is the only one that I have not been taking regularly ) I will make sure that I take it every day from now on.  When we are slack on something it does eventually catch up with us doesn't it?
My Dr. is happy with my weight loss.  He says that most people that have gastric bypass only lose 60% of their weight and I have lost 72%.  I WANT 100% as I think all of you do too!  I didn't have surgery for 72%. He says that I can do it, but I will have to work hard for it and I am going to.  Since my weight loss has slowed, I listened for anything they may say to help me boost me back to losing.  He is such a nice Dr. and  was encouraging and recommended that I measure out my food and not rely on feeling full.  I stopped measuring a while back, so I think I'll give this a try along with all the tips I get from this board on high protein and low carbs.
I'm going to try to figure out how to put  a new picture up this weekend for my new year.

Have a Great Day!

Linda

Sounds like an excellant report.  I think you can lose more but 72% in a year is great.  You go for it.

That's great news, but definitely go for the 100% if that's what you want.
=) Keep it up!
And Congratulations!

All of my labs were great except for the iron.  That was my fault for not taking them like I should.  I will correct that.
Thanks,
