Don't worry though ... I'll be back at it on March 1st. I still keep my eye out on things on-line. I'll be ready to hit "BUY" on 3/1/11 at 12:01 a.m. LOL!
I am considering breast augmentation myself & really don't know much about research or what I want to look like when it's done. Sending friend request!
Revision from Sleeve to DS (with re-Sleeve) on 10/10/17. Slow and steady ...
Now yesterday I went online and found a video of a Dr doing an augmentation... may be a good thing to take a look at - if you're queasy, maybe not. After I watched it I said to myself "the things we put ourselves through".. AND this one didn't even do the lift...

The surgeon that did my BL/BA was the same one who did my tummy tuck. When I was looking for a surgeon I went to the Michigan board and asked for recommendations - this Dr was highly recommended by quite a few people. ALSO - he participated with my insurance - which was huge, as my insurance did cover my panniculectomy and I upgraded to a full TT. From what I'm seeing on the PS board, my upgrade cost was a real bargain.
I also had a consult for the BL/BA from a local surgeon (one I used is 4 hours away). His price was about 3K more than the surgeon I used. Also I already knew my local surgeons work and felt very safe going back to him.
A couple of questions to ask:
1. What kind of implants to you use?
2. Drains?
3. Have the Dr do an estimation of what cup size you'd be if you DIDN'T get an implant, but only a lift. You may be happy with just that.
4. How long does the procedure take
5. What kind of facility (Dr's office versus hospital). My Dr had his own surgical facility and gave me a tour beforehand
6. Find a Dr that specializes in patients who have lost large amounts of weight. Our skin requires different handling that someone who hasn't been obese most of their lives.
7. Implants under or over the muscle?
8, Is Anesthesiologist familiary with gastric bypass patients (if that's what you had). When I had mine the Anesthesiologist said that we process it differently and have to be monitored more carefully.
One thing my Dr had me do was to go online and look at pictures of patients that had Breast lifts and/or augmentations. I then had to print out pictures of breasts I did and didn't like. We then sat down and went over why I did or didn't like each of them. He said it helps him tremendously with what I want my outcome to be. Also when you do this be sure to find pictures of a size you may want to end up being. I just told him I wanted to be proportionate.
If you want to PM me, I'd be more than happy to answer anything else you have.

Good for you! I was cleaning out my drawers and found a Detroit Tigers t-shirt I had to have when we went to a game a few years back... lets just say I'm going to give it to my DD.. it will fit her better, even though still a bit big. HUGE on me!
When ex-DH went to FL last year for a pre-baseball game vacation, he bought me a NEW Detroit Tigers t-shirt - in size small... nice guy...
