Craving Crunchy!

Hi all -  I've been tracking on Fitday, and I think my carbs are too high.  However, I love to eat crackers with tuna, crackers with cheese, etc.

What do you eat to get some "crunch"?  Are there crackers out there low in carbs?

4 weeks out today, and I've only lost 12 pounds....and most of it was during week 1!  My head knows about the infamous "stalls", but in my heart I was really hoping for more weight loss....

One thing that has worked for me is peeled cucumber sliced medium thin. Not like a cracker, but holds things like hummus and tuna. It has some crunch.

On the Atkins/Low Carb board, someone mentioned Dr. Kracker from Netrition and Oh Yeah wafers from Vitamin Shoppe. I plan to look into those. The board looks helpful. My loss is slowing, so I need to change things.

My weight loss slowed after two months. It is normal, so don't worry too much, unless you completely stall.

Thanks for reminding me. I did all the crazy math in my head that I would lose ten pounds a month. I am so far ahead of anywhere I have been in the last 25 years, and so much healthier, I have no right to complain.

I allowed carbs back in my life and I gained I am now really trying to be good about my carbs. The other day I made some Parmesan crisps, from what I understand they can be made with any kind of cheese. They can be made a variety of ways what I did was heat oven to 325. Line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with parchment paper then put several small mounds of fresh Parmesan cheese on the paper, put it in the oven check your cheese after 10 minutes and see how they look keep cooking until they reach the crispy texture you prefer. You now have a safe "cracker" to enjoy with out the carbs but with some protein. Mine had the perfect mix of salt and crunch it was so yummy!

I'm eating crispy pepperoni right now.  Put the slices on a papertowel, cover with another one, nuke for about 45 sec.  Press the papertowels to the chips to drain the fat out.  Yum.

I eat a half serving of Full Circle Soy Crisps when I want something crunchy...they are AMAZING!! Their web site lists where they can be purchased. Around here..I find them at Bi-lo.

Plus they have 7 grams of protein.
