Hope you are all safe and warm

I just spent 45 minutes literally CHOPPING out my car. Solid block of ice! I'm pooped. But DH and I refused to join the riots at the grocery stores the last 2 days and had to borrow bread and eggs from my neighbor for breakfast. Off to brave the streets to get some food!

Sounds like lots of folks had a lot of weather problems today!

We were on the northern edge of the storm and just had some snow and its blowing like you wouldn't believe now - BUT - its sunny!

Roads are icky, but we're used to that.

Hope the stores still have some food left for you!  We're so used to this type of thing that there's never a rush to the stores, but when I lived in Virginia - just the word SNOW had people cleaning off the shelves!

It was quite the show in Chicago. Second time in my life that I've seen a thunder-snow storm with high winds, hail, thunder, lightning, and, of course, lots of snow - all at the same time. The winds were over 60 mph, and kept blowing my balcony door open (need to fix that latch!). Even with a barracade of furniture and several big kitty litter containers, the winds conquered all. I felt like the blizzard was taking place in my bedroom. I'm really beat today.

Now the temps are plummeting down, but I'd rather have still frigid weather than windy cold weather any day. I need a nap!

OOhh we had the thunder snow storm in Milw last night too!! 18-23 inches here! Dang SUV COVERED in snow!!

24 inches in Kenosha...this was after 6 minches the day prior!  We are between Chicago and Milwaukee.

Just got home an hour ago....slept at work last night so I would be sure to be there in the morning....turned out to be a good plan!

Thank God it's done now...I will take cold anyday!
