Why do I seem to think im a COW ? Or to put it more precisely .. that i can GRAZE like a cow .. as in ALL DAY ... and then miraculously not WEAR it like a cow does ?
its no wonder they gain a thousand lbs in a a YEAR !
My pouch has miraculously contracted some - probably because I drink protein shakes as coffee and tea creamers regularly .
So thank God , I cant eat as much . But i STILL put a hefty serving on a plate .. then sit there and STARE at it until i can bite by bite .. get it down ....
GRRRRR .
This snow is making even moderate exercise really difficult .... and cabin fever makes me well turn to my favorite method of comfort .. cooking baking and EATING .... GRRRRR.
It doesnt help that the New Jersey project still isnt finished and the deadline is looming and the weather is BAD...

I could graze all day too - but just can't let myself do it. Even when I had 2 planned snacks in my menu... after my "honeymoon" period was over, I found I gained and had to take them out of the menu... I was bad last night and allowed myself a few tspns of peanut butter - and that was at 4am when I was bored when I couldn't sleep.
I find my perception of me eating a "lot" is quite different from my BF's perception. My son also thinks I eat like a bird - but really, I don't. The scale definitely doesn't reflect I eat like a bird - LOL.
I find my eating/grazing is more linked to habits. I do fine at work then when I get home its like my brain switches gears... it something I'm "supposed" to do...
Take advantage of your shrunken pouch - and thanks for the reminder I need to get in some protein shake today!

I hear ya. I would love to graze all day. Early on I did allow myself 1 snack (protein drink) a day but my surgeon really got on me at my 6 month checkup, telling me that those snacks would grow with time. I honestly knew he was probably right.
I switched to Low Carb three weeks ago and I'm eating 3 meals and no snacks most days. I'm getting the low carb effect which is that I'm not hungry most days so what I'm confronted with is my big fat head hunger. I'm really watching myself crave/want/desire to stick something in my mouth at all the wrong times. I'm viewing it as something to watch rather than act on. It's quite amazing what my tricky *itchy mind does to try to convince me that just a little more food would be a great idea. It's a fight some days to not listen and to just pat Sleevie and know that she's doing just fine in there.

Grazing is the root of all evil in my life!!! I am a stay at home mom so I have to be super careful to control it I am beyond lucky to be home with my kids and I know that but I hate that I don't have the chance to escape to the office where I can avoid the kitchen and all its temptations. I did great for a long time then just like Lee's Dr. said my snacks grew from a shake to some nuts to junk food. Now I have my 0 carb, 0 sugar protein shakes or nothing for snack. I have found if I make one bad choice with my food then I will go crazy all day and eat junk. I don't know if I am normal or odd but for some reason one bad choice leads me to bad choices all day, its a domino effect with me.
Grazing is what led to me becoming morbidly obese. I still have to fight the head hunger, especially at night. It does help to journal everything that I eat, so that it keeps me accountable and on track. I try to stick to 3 meals/day, but I often plan an afternoon snack, before I work out. It is usually something that I can't fit in at lunch time. Night time is my biggest challenge.
