Napoleon's  sister Josephine  was considered  THE  most beautiful woman of her  era and  she  frequently  had fits of pique( well, grief )   and  cut her dark curls  into a super short boyish cap ( utterly scandalous  as were her  nearly see through dresses , her  almost nude marble statue by Canovas  as a Borghese princess ..... oh she was  quite something ...

U may want  to look at some old woodcuts  of  how she ornamented  that  hairdo for ideas ....

wearing an intricate light diamond  necklace as a headband  comes to mind  a la the twenties .....

or weaving  pearls artfully  into it ...

PLEASE  take pictures  Beautiful  !!

We cruise often, and part of the fun of formal nights is occassionally going to the spa for a nice hair day beforehand. I've never been disappointed.

Friday I'm getting my hair colored, my nails done, and having a massage-- my way of treating myself before my surgery on Tuesday. I saw the top of my head in a friend's bathroom mirror, where the light was REALLY good.  AARGH! The grey hairs have taken over the part in my hair.  And since most people SEE the top of my head really easily, it's time for much more color instead of the gentle streaks I've been using.  I'm gunna tell my hairstylist to pull out all the stops on the dye.

I have never been on a cruise but I bet they have stylists. My hair has thinned more than I expected since i started taking biotin 6 months pre surgery and still take it.

it had gotten a little thinner than my younger days anyway and I stopped coloring it about 15 years ago.

'm late on a hair appointment by a few months so the style has kinda grown out. If I don't wa**** and blow dry it every day I look like a wooly rhinercerois. Even when I do style it  ,it looks like a calmer wooly rhinercerois.

I have been considering growing it and wearing it like Emmylou Harris...but I don't know...

I still have bangs but last night I wanted more 'separation' and my 'gal' did this cut from the scalp down! yikes....but looks fine. I have been going to the same hairdresser for so long now....I really just trust her and it she does a good job with what I have..

growing out is hard.....the inbetween times but it really only is a few months...good luck!

I'm 3 months out yesterday and I  have been noticing that I'm losing some of my hair...
I have really good. thick,Middle Eastern, wavy awesome beautiful hair and I'm kind of freaking out.  I always knew I would lose some of my hair..but since I normally have enough hair for at least 3 people..I didn't think it would bother me so much.

I think today, my surgeon, doctor, nutritionist will say it's okay to take pills..I certainly hope so anyway.. so does Biotin really help?  What worked for you?

I never took biotin but i did drink 100+ grams of protein right off the bat, took all my vitamins from day 3 post-op, drank 64+ ounces of fluids, took extra zinc and selenium. That's it. I shedded but my hair didn't come out in clumps.

Good luck today!

I'm taking and have been taking all my vitamins and getting in as much protein as possible..unfortunately I didn't realize I needed 100 grams until the other day..literally.
I'm trying now, but since I'm trying to keep the calories low also, I just haven't been able to do it.
I would appreciate it if you pm'd me or posted a normal recipe that kept you under 1000 calories but gave you 100 grams of Protein.  I am posting in Roz's thread..
