Cannot keep down the calcium and D - any suggestions?
Bariatric Advantage has a powder Calcium, chewables (I like the lemon, but they are pricey), and a liquid vitamin D3. I use Blue Bonnet liquid calcium, lemon flavor, which seems to go down well. At work, I have some Bariatric Advantage chews that I can use for midday dosing. Using the chews completely can be very pricey, which is why I use the Blue Bonnet liquid calcium in the AM and PM. Wellesse (sp) is also recommended by some programs and is a liquid calcium with D3. Some Costcos carry it, as well as some of the drug stores. I still can't face swallowing calcium pills, so I use the liquid and chews. Check out vitalady.com. She has some calcium capsules that might be easier to swallow. Also, you could try dissolving the calcium tablets in water, which might work. I haven't tried it, but it would probably work.
I take a capsule for both calcium and D3...much easier on the system than horse pills and I don't have to worry about the sugar alcohols and fillers in chewables. I get mine from Vitalady...I know, I sound like a broken record. lol

I use the Citrical petites but they are still pretty big but I don't have any trouble with them. I use the Bariatric Advantage SF Chocolate Flavored at work. It gives me a little chocolate fix so I never forget to take them. It would be expensive if they were the only calcium you take.
