Feelin okay and update on April get together
I am feeling pretty good. Not as sore as yesterday but do feel pretty worn out. I was able to get in two 11oz protein shakes in (30grams each) and about 16 oz of water so far. I was also able to get in about 3 oz of Jello. I cant tell a major difference when I when I am need of some fluids, I get really dizzy and shakey. I wanted to get out of the house today so I drove to best buy to get my sick lil 4 year old a pc video game and to Macys to grab a pair of shoes I had been lusting after. It was a pretty good shoppin trip the game was marked down by 10 dollars and the shoes which I expected to pay $110 for were marked down to $59! Wooo Yeah me. The trip really wore me out though, mostly cause I didn't take anything to sip with and was out for about 45 minutes. Over all I feel pretty good, Id say the hardest part is figuring out what the rumblings in my belly mean… hungry, full, or sick?!?!?!? I have no clue yet so Im trying to get it all figured out.
I am still getting everything together for our outing in April, so far I have 15 people who want to attend and some coming from out of town so I will look up some hotels in the area for those staying the night. I will alsoput together an event (outing)in the evening for those staying over night :) I am trying to figure out if we should rent a table so we are sure to have a spot for sitting down at the park. I am thinking we can do a clothing exchange that day as well. Ill keep everyone updated :)

Sounds like you're doing really well. Yeah, at this point you have to keep a water bottle attached to your waist or something. Take it with you everywhere.

The noises in your tummy don't necessarily mean anything. Get used to them - they continue for a LONG time. I'm over 2 years post-op and still get them...

Jen, at 11 months out, my Sleevie still talks to me when I have my first sips of tea in the morning. It's totally normal and may go on for a long time. Sleevie is just getting aquainted with you and what you're feeding it.
You did great shopping. Gina is right, strap a water bottle to you. Hydration is so important post-op to keep everything in there working properly.
Congrats on those shoes! I hope your little one is feeling better today.
Are you going to start a thread somewhere about the April outing? It would be nice to see who's coming. You might want to take a look at Barb's post on the CA page about our monthly NorCal Luncheons. She has a nice format with lots of information. That was some of us can carpool if we know who will be there from our area.

I am glad that you are doing so well. That is amazing, shopping at less than a week out. I was in the hospital for 5 days and wasn't allowed to drive for 3 weeks.
I have been out of the loop for the past 3 1/2 months recovering from my surgeries, what outing are you talking about? Where is it? What does it involve? Just for the day or a weekend?
