Need a little encouragement

My hair loss is becoming noticable.  A few people have commented on it this week when my hair was down...I am not tolerating food well...I am in a stall...and my flight out of Indy to Hawaii has been cancelled due to ice.

Things had gotten much better with my buyer's remorse but this last week has been a tough one.

Just feeling down in the dumps, but on the bright side I do not have to navigate the ice to get to work...I know the scale will move, the snow will melt, and I can always buy a wig:)

Oh honey, i'm so sorry you're feeling this way.  I think we all go through this at some point.

Your hair loss will be temporary.  Mine started at around month 5 and now at 11 months it's stopped and new hair is growing in.  I noticed that it was stopping during month 10.  I didn't take Biotin or do anything except make sure that my shampoo and conditioner didn't have any chemicals in them.  I just trusted in the process and knew that I wasn't unique and that my hair would grow back.  I did cut my hair much shorter when it started to really come out so that it would look fuller.  I don't know anyone that had to resort to a wig, but I did go look at some, just in case.  :)

Are there any foods that your Sleevie likes better than others?  Are you able to drink protein shakes?  Make a list of the foods that are easiest for you and concentrate on them.  Are you able to get in your vitamins?

Be happy and enjoy your time in Hawaii.  How lucky that you'll be there while everyone else is snowed in!

I had my hair cut last week.  I figured I would do it before everyone noticed and they could look at shorter hair instead of thin hair.

I'd be pissed if my flight to hawaii was cancelled.  I hope you will be able to jump on a silver bird soon and get away from the ice and cold.  We will all be jealous.

It all gets better.  Spring will come on many fronts.

Flight to Hawaii canceled!  I'd need more than encouragement.  I can only imagine how you were looking forward to that trip!

We all have our good days and bad days.   {{{{Big Hug}}}}  You are entitled to a bad one when they cancel your vacation flight.  Hang in there!

My hair lady, told me to use a protein shampoo and conditioner...shampoo daily conditioner every few days. I did this, and I lost but not in handfuls. It will get better!
I am sorry about Hawaii, LOVE it there!!!!
As for food, I am in the same boat still a year out....I did make list, and I ate what I could when I could. I couldn't get protein shakes down, until I figured out protein/mixed with coffee. Not sure you can do that yet...but try choc protein with hot choc...just mix it with cold water or it will clump and then add the hot choc to that.
I know it's hard to hear, but it will get better! We are all here for you!

Hawaii's not going anywhere, it will be just as beautiful when you get there! :)

Hang in there! Everything's just a little bump in the road...all temporary. :)

You're doing great! Focus on what you do have and how far you've come.

I'm sorry that you are feeling down in the dumps. The hair loss is a pain, but at least it will come back. My hair has started thinning out, but it is short and only my hairdresser can see the difference. It is part of the process and there isn't much we can do, besides ride it out. I have thought that if gets too bad, I would get a wig. I would rather have some temporary hairloss than be as heavy as I was, before surgery.

Stalls are a pain in the butt. Are you losing inches? When I haven't been losing very much, I can usually tell a difference in my clothes.

I'm sorry to hear that you're not tolerating food very well. Do you know what the issue is?

As far as your flight being canceled, that just plain sux!

Changes in hair take about 3 months to see. If I don't get enough protien for a while, 3 months later I'm thinning. Then I make sure to keep up the protien, and 3 months later, there is noticable new growth. It happens, but it is temporary. It helps to wear short hair. I part it on the side too.
