Could someone please point me to the name of the chewable one-a-day from Vitalady???  I am in one of the groups that suggests the "flintstone" chewables and I know I need to order something....so I am ready when aproved.

Thanks!
Meg

Looks like she has a couple of chewable multi options. One is Kirkland and the other is Bariatric Advantage. I liked her capsule multi, Vita-Min, when I was early out. Didn't have to chew and hurt my teeth like the Flintstones.

I like chewables myself.  I have a problem choking down pills.  I use the Bariatric Advantage chewables.  I like the watermelon and now have the chocolate/mint.  The choc/mint is ok - kinda chalky which may put you off, especially if you're newly post-op.

I love the orange Centrum chewables.  They break down really easy, not like Flintstones!  Melt in your mouth almost and orange is a fave flavor since I ate a bottle of baby aspirin at 2 yrs of age.  dah!

Walmart sells a 2 pack of 100 ea. for just shy of $18 ON-LINE.  That's 3 months worth!  Their Spring Valley Sublingual B-12 dots are 200 ct. for $4.00  ON-LINE   That's a 6 month supply!!

Most of my computer time the past two months has been researching the most bang for the buck.  My Nut has been awesome with answering my numerous questions via email.  I'll see what else is needed according to my labs as they come back.  (Oh, and Calcium Citrate is a no-brainer.  Kirkland brand, 2 1/2 month supply for $7)

Good luck making your decisions!

Centrum chewables don't have selenium, which is why they weren't recommended in my program. Regular Centrum or Kirkland brand do contain selenium.

I still can't swallow calcium pills, so I use liquid and chewables.

Understood.  I am prepared to jump to liquids or chewables at the first sign of trouble swallowing the Kirkland brand (cut into 4ths).  Believe me, I've got all the suppliers y'all have mentioned bookmarked.  :-)

Hmmm... hadn't noticed the selenium being missing.  Thank you for bringing that to my attention.  I guess I'll have to eat braised kidney sprinkled with sunflower seeds until my pocketbook can overcome the initial set-up purchase shock.  roflol!!

Actually, I would recommend starting with chewables or liquids. In the beginning, the Kirkland vitamin was too large for me to swallow and when I cut it, the edges were rough going down. I wasn't able to swallow it, until I was almost 3 months out, but I had a lot of problems in the beginning. The Centrum chewables would probably be fine in the beginning, but down the road, you may want something with selenium or a selenium supplement (I believe Vitalady has those, as well as most grocery stores).

You read my mind.   I ordered the 1 month supply of Multi w/calcium powder from Celebrate to get me to the pureed stage.  I WAS going to start the pill (crushed w/applesauce if necessary) then but, since I'm going to Costco anyway, they have a multi and a calcium liquid.  Maybe not the exact complete version that my NUT wants me to take but enough to get me through month two.  Then we'll see.   Thanks and I'll research the selenium sources!

Thanks so much for sharing your opinions -- Ruthie sounds like you have the $$ research down pat!    I'm more of a let me pay for convenience of a one-stop-shop -- may not be the cheapest but time is valuable...   I sure wish we could buy time!!!  I'd like an order of that for sure...
