Boy I've missed you Gina!!!

I tried to find ham cubes at the groceries but didn't have any luck.  What brand do you buy?

We just buy a sliced ham and I cube a few slices and haul them to work with me. I got busy and didn't even eat them this afternoon. I like being busy

We should email tomorrow.

That sounds like a lot better than buying pre-cut cubes.  I love ham but it make me so thirsty but maybe that's a good thing.  I like being busy too, but not understaffed going crazy.  The new girl is catching on really well and the receptionist is back working 4 hrs. a day so things are getting better here.

Good morning Roz, I am glad things are getting back into the swing of things. We missed ya for sure :)

I tried on some shorts and capris this weekend and I am a size 4 now...I couldn't believe it!! i thought what the hell, let me try it...knowing for sure it wouldn't fit...LOL...jokes on me...they fit. They are low rise cut and i don't like those because of the excess skin...so i am pretty darned sure mid/high rise is def a 4. I tried on 2 separate random pulls and both 4's...bwahaha....

Here's my menu:

B - protein shake (24g & 114cal)
S - 1 egg white, 2 boca breakfast sausage links 1/4 cup cottage cheese all scramble together like a denny's scramble...yummy (21g & 140 cal)
L - 1/2 cup homemade chili (10g & 190 cal)
I'm shooting low on protein estimates since this is a homemade recipe made by my FIL.
S - tossed lettuce w/tomatoes
S - apples w/greek yogurt fruit dip (13g & 65 cal)
D - chicken w/marinara sauce (18g & 90 cal)
S - mock pudding (13g & 65 cal)

protein: 99g
calories: 664 cal

vits: on track :)
h2o: 24 oz down so far

have a great day everyone!!

I'm so excited for you Diana....Size 4's...that's Awesome!!!!

I've been booking our things for Florida but I haven't tried on any of my summer clothes yet.  I'm still wearing the same jeans I bought last spring but I don't know how my shorts are going to fit.   I'm definitely going to start looking for a bathing suit soon because last year I went to Walmart and bought a swim top and a pair of shorts to cover up my nasty legs and I'm hoping I can find something that looks a little better than that did.

Scrambled eggs used to make me sick but I'm ready to try them again so I bought some peppers and onions when I went to the store so I can doctor them up.  Does the cottage cheese moisten them?

Awesome Variety!!!!

How exciting for your trip!! Whoo hoo....

Well, scrabled eggs must be NOT DRY...not juicy but not dry so yes, the cottage cheese adds moisture (almost too much if you're not careful) but for the most part...if I chew to oblivion everything, my pouch tolerates most. It's when it is not chewed up real well and the food is drier...we have problems. so, I'm so ocd about chewing it is pathetic and ya'll would laugh at me...but it's ok...i can eat most foods...(still no "bready" bread which is a-okay!)

Blend it very well with the egg whites. If you use just a whisk...then there will be 'lumps' of cottage cheese that will melt when heated...well at least for the most part. sometimes not. BUT...if you put it in a blender and smooth out the mixture...then let it rest since it'll get frothy...then it should be fine once you add the seasonings...does that make sense?

If you use the egg mixture while frothy, you might end up with triple the size and a 'meatier' texture of the egg (like fritatta) and may be too much to tolerate. So I'd let it rest then scramble it up...

I add the cottage cheese for additional boost of protein for very low calories. I'm on this new kick of getting the highest bang for my calorie buck for protein and finding great ways to do it. It must be working because i'm down a few pounds and in a new size pants....whoot!!

Hi Roz!  My scale is WAY up - but my clothes are fitting the same... kinda weird...  I haven't been on the scale in a few days, so maybe its down some - lets hope so.  I haven't been eating much, but just listening to my pouch dictate when and how much to eat.  BF made jumbalaya last night and I hardly ate any at all... I just wasn't hungry.  he does seem to watch my food intake and let me know when it looks like I'm not eating....

Congrats on the vacation planning.  I'm afraid my size 4 capris won't fit me this year.  I cleaned out my closet today and tried on a few pair of pants and put them in the "thrift store" pile.  I'm just not in the mood anymore to try and squeeze into clothes that were on the snug side, especially now they are a bit tighter than before.

B - 1 protein coffee
L - some tortilla chips and 3 boneless wings
D - chicken thigh
S - a beer

Vits:  not yet - need to get them together
water;  low
