multi vitamin, iron and calcium
Is there any reason I can't take multi vitamin and calcium at the same time as long as I take my iron at a different time. I've also read not to take iron at the same time as your anti acid ... I find fewer hours in the day available for taking iron. If i took the anti acid with dinner, could I take iron at bed time? How long is long enough :-)
You can take the multi with the calcium and D3. Get you some dry vitamin D3. You can find it at Vitalady or VitaminShoppe. Most people are low or deficient in D and it makes it near impossible for your calcium to work properly. VSGrs don't have to take dry D3 but it's a really effective form and widely available now. My son and hubby take 5,000IUs a day and have normal guts.
Taking your iron and vitamin C with an hour or so cushion on either side is a good idea. You don't want to take it around dairy, calcium, eggs, whole wheat or caffeine. I'm not sure taking your antacid ahead of your iron is a good idea. Iron likes acid--that's why you take it with vitamin C.

Thanks alot for you input, Gina.
I've been taking D3 for awhile ... I know that it effects my mood. Had enough tests over the last few years to know that my levels rise in fall with the seasons even when I'm supplementing. And i've been taking the Bariatric Advantage Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D (Cinnamon flavor) cuz I like the taste and disolves in my mouth.
Bought some dry D3 from Vitalady already (I've been listening when you talk) , but i figured i'd finish up the regular first.
Have had issues not necessarily with anemia but with low ferritin in the past (I played endurance athlete for awhile in an attempt to lose weight /maintain weight lost) OK, so maybe i'll try iron before I leave work. I'll be happy to hit 3 months and not "need" the antacid (personally, I don't think I "need" it now, but I'll play along since its only 3 months)
