Calories?
I have only lost 2 lbs in the past month and three weeks of the month my scale was at a standstill. I am thinking I'm not getting enough calories, but for a 192 lb woman, 5 ft 5 in the calorie calculation is putting me over 2300 calories a day. Any ideas how many calories we need daily? I'm hoping to lose another 42 lbs.
What does your program say? Are you exercising? If you want to lose, your calories need to be lower than 2300cal/day. At this stage, most programs are around 600-800 cal/day. Plus, one's weight loss does tend to slow down, the further out we get and when we weigh less. I would check with your program. Not enough calories can make you stall.
I had 600 to 800 a day until I got to a normal BMI ...then I went to 1000 to 1200 a day...now my biggest day is usually 2000 but those are rare...usually about 1600 a day ...maintaining......you are taking in way too many calories for someone who has had WLS......talk to your nutritionist or your doctor for recomendations....good luck....SEAVIEW...I"m 5' 7'' and now weigh 140....i lost 70 pounds...
I had surgery a few weeks before you. I have lost about the same amount as you, 68lb from my high. I have between 700-800 calories a day.
I would be sure you are getting in your protein, at least 80g, water, at least 64 oz, exercising and eating what is on your plan.

It's hard not to stress over the scale, but please try not to do it. If you are eating under 1,000 calories per day, you will lose the weight. Your body just freaks out every once in a while and tries to hold on to it's precious fat. The scale will move -- some months a few pounds a week and some months not at all. Just hang in there!!
