time release medicine
Yep, you're remembering right. It's my understanding we malabsorbers have shorter transit times in our systems, much less stomach acid and bile doesn't hit the intestine where the medicine is until after the bypass. It's a crap shoot if you can break it down and absorb it before it's ready to leave the intestine.
