Hi Cindy!!
1.) Did your bariatric program require you to attend a WLS seminar? Yes. I attended the one here and the office where I had my surgery accepted that.
2.) What's your favorite room in your home and why? Probably my living room. Where all the action is!
3.) Victories/Challenges this week? Well.... I had my BL/BA... lots of challenges! The scale is up 10 lbs - I'm trying NOT to freak about it and just work on getting it back down. Big challenge - haven't poo'd since surgery on Monday... Victory: Having a great BF that is taking real good care of me!
4.) Plans for the weekend? Have a follow up Dr's appt Saturday. Heading down (4 hrs from here) tonight and spending the night with DD and DGD. Getting together with my sister and kids for lunch and whateverelse happens on Saturday.

1.) Did your bariatric program require you to attend a WLS seminar? Yes. I went to one four years ago when I had lapband but had to go to my new surgeon's when I had the revision. I really liked the staff (didn't meet the first surgeon's staff at the seminar) and I got to watch a video clip of an RNY to see what I was in for!
2.) What's your favorite room in your home and why?
The patio because it looks out on the lake.
3.) Victories/Challenges this week? Walking the hanging bridges in Costa Rica. Wow! Challenge is always to get enough fluid and protein and exercise.
4.) Plans for the weekend? Finally working on odd jobs around the house: painting furniture and cleaning. My hubby and I are determined to make this home a sanctuary.

1.) Did your bariatric program require you to attend a WLS seminar?
I attended a consultation and then an all day class.
2.) What's your favorite room in your home and why?
Thats a tough one. I spend the most time in our TV room/Office. I love how the guest bedroom and living room are decorated. I enjoy my bedroom probably the most, but because of my night shift sleep deprived schedule, I rarely sleep in there.
3.) Victories/Challenges this week?
Challenges- my sleeve is not tolerating anything the last few days.
Victory- I was able to drink plain water for the first time. I hope that lasts!!!
4.) Plans for the weekend?
Spending time with my mom this evening, working Sat and Sun. Hoping to find some time to pack for vacation. Maybe a few tanning sessions and a pedicure if I don't sleep too much.

1.) Did your bariatric program require you to attend a WLS seminar? Yes I did and was shocked at how so many thought it would be an easy way to lose weight. According to the nurse, out of my seminar, which had 35 people in it, only 5 went through the surgery.
2.) What's your favorite room in your home and why? I am not usre if I have a favorite, no matter which room I am in the kids all find me LOL..... I hang in the living room the most.
3.) Victories/Challenges this week? Victory/ I am officially able to drink my favorite drink....WATER
Challenges/ I have not been able to get to the gym this week, scale is still stuck in one position and NOT going down. Have had a VERY small and grouchy pouchy the last week and am struggling to get all foods in.
4.) Plans for the weekend? Microbiology homework! I have 4 classes I am taking this semester and am falling behind very fast! Need to get 5 papers written this weekend.

1 ) no but i attended two anyway - one on lapband and one on primarily RNY
2) my three room parlor floor office suite in Brooklyn ... I love the 10 foot ceilngs , the huge tall windows ... the fact that i can see the street and the backyard at the same time. I also love having a "music room " in the middle .. one day I will take the closets out and restore the wooden Corinthian columns that separated this room from the parlor . I love the fact that its light and bright and flowering plant filled .... even with the deep snow outside my orchids and hibiscus trees are blooming like crazy ...
3) im up 4 lbs and could SHOOT myself
. I did this crazy thing DELIBERATELY for a part ( as wel as PS which isnt working out ) . The part ( as Palestinian Medea ) is getting way too much attention and simply wont DIE which means my bottomless frustration with my weight has to CONTINUE grrrrrr...
You know the funny thing is I DONT CARE if I get intothe rotation of a network as a character actor .... if it means GAINING WEIGHT .. I DONT CARE .
I dont care that I will finally make a great living , that I will start to be recognized in the business ,that my talent and acting ability will finally be acknowledged and that I will get LEADS rather than bit parts ( even if they ARE evildoers and Crazy ladies )
what is WRONG with me ?!
here i am giving myself " rashes " with brillo to become truly employable saying i am INSANE .....
4) out to Hubbys house in LI ...guaranteed asthma attack from the indoor air pollution , did I mention his dry-drunk abstinent Compulsive Overeater azzz SCREAMING at me ....( I CHOSE this ?! ) oh and meetings with bankers to finally ( hopefully ..pray to God ..close on our marital home ) ..
oh my weekend plans also definitely include apologizing to the poor housekeeper who got up at 6 am to scrub out my protein shake mixer she left untouched cuz i yelled at her for throwing the stuff out id left in there ( the criticized her for letting it dry in there ohhhhh... ) Its a wonder she doesnt just throw the whole mixer at ME ...
Yep ive been a BEAR .... all over 4 unwanted ,, HATED , FRUSTRATING pounds .....

Good morning Cindy
1 - Did your bariatric program require you to attend a WLS seminar?
Yes, I attended 3 total. The first one was the "intro to WLS" and went over all the options the office practices. (sleeve, rny, band, etc) Then I had to attend a preop prep class AFTER I met the 10% weightloss required and nutritional program and insurance approval. Once I made it through that hurdle, I had to attend another preop class but this one was specific to the surgery itself and recovery/support, etc. I paid for each of the classes out of pocket as not covered by insurance and not included in any office consult. ALSO I had to attend a support group meeting as a preop patient. All classes served a great purpose and i believe contribute to my success in this journey.
2 - What's your favorite room in your home and why?
Um, the kitchen of course!!!
This is my playground. It never really used to be preop. Although I do love to cook and am a totally foodie...I would not spend QUALITY time and investment in my food. It was a quick wham bam thank you ma'am process. Now, I take the time to invest in what I eat and cook for me and the family and LOVE getting the positive feedback and wonderful dishes in the process. The next favorite room is the bedroom....get your minds out of the gutta...lol. I love to sleep!! LOL
3 - Victories/Challenges this week?
The challenges this week have been to get back in to the routine of going back to school fulltime balancing work, home, and now homework with the continual absence of DH due to his work and the drama and issues with DS1 which seem to NEVER end...BUT I move on....
My other challenge is to put fitness back on the schedule. I will be working on that next week.
The victories...My size 6's are really loose and i am now down to 130.8. I will love to see 129.8...I think i was this low when I was 10 years old...lol....but seriously. I am enjoying being this size and weight. A small NSV came this week too. We got a new little puppy...if you are my friend on FB I have posted pics...anyways, he is only 9 weeks old and nibbles at everything right? Well he was on my lap and he nibbled at my belly on the side...and I said "Hey...don't do that...fat has feelings too..." And DS2 looked at me and said.... "WHAT FAT...seriously"...
That felt great!!
4 - What plans this weekend?
I have nothing really other than getting nails done, doing homework, and pretending to clean the house. I am going out of town next weekend to visist DH and will be prepping DS2 and house and workload for my absence...other than that...nada mucho!!
I hope you all have a great day today!!
