It changes the texture a bit but I have done it and I counted the protein just as I would when I put it in my greek yogurt. I prefer to make my own Jello I add the protein after I add the cold water.

The best way to add protein to jello is to make your own jello and add one of those liquid protien bullets as part of the cold water. I think they are gross if you just drink the test tube of liquid protien, but they are surprisingly good made into the jello, and they don't change the texture.  If you really want to buy the premade jello, I would suggest mixing the protien powder with yogurt and spooning it on the jello. I don't think you can mix protien powder with premade jello and it not be a clumpy gritty mess that tastes awful. You could mix the protien powder into premade sf pudding.

Be sure to check and make sure that the protein in those shots are the right kind of protein for us.

I tried and I didn't like the texture. Too gritty. So I made my own jello and added the protein to the mix. I melted it in warm water first

No protien is wrong for us. Some are just easier to digest than others. Like steak is harder for me than any protien powder. Some protien powders are higher grade than others, which can affect the ease of digestion, but whey, egg, soy, vegan, beef, all are still protien your body can use. Just make sure the protien is low sugar/low carb. Some of the protien supplements are really high carb.
