Curves already this morning. I leave tomorrow morning for Nashville for a conference and won't be home until Sunday night. I'm sure there is a gym at the hotel but I'm not sure I will get there.
My main reason for surgery was to be able to be more active and do the things I really wanted to do but weight was keeping me from them. I have continued my curves routine and wii and the ponies when the weather allows. I don't take any daytime pain meds for my arthritus anymore and have less pain than when I did. I have cut my evening dose in half. I'm thrilled with the activity level I can have now and only expect it to continue to improve as I lose more weight and get stronger. Surgery has given me my life back and being active is what life is about for me.

Tonight is my pilates class and I will spend about 45-60 minutes on the treadmill.
Being more active has helped to improve my mood, energy, and self-esteem. In addition, with the weight training, I am becoming stronger with each passing week. The skin is still saggy, but I feel some muscle underneath. I am just so happy to be feeling better. The first couple of months were rough.
Good afternoon! I have been CRABBBBBBBY all week. Stressing about my weight, money, relationships....pretty much everything and I can't get out of this funk. Poor people around me are getting their heads bitten off about everything so I woke up bright and early to go for my 3 mile run and it was so difficult today. Ended up doing 2.5 miles instead and came home in an even worse mood then when I left. BUT being active has made me feel like I can accomplish things. A year ago I couldn't walk without being winded and now I can run/jog for 45mins? Huge accomplishment!
Hi everyone:
Greetings from the DR! Ran this morning again, but had a scary emergency towards the end with my tummy being very uncooperative. Trust me, you don't want those details...
But took care of things, and kept running!
Later, my roomie gave me a private water aerobics lesson in the ocean. Then, as the sun went down, went for another 500m swim in the long-course pool. It was another great fitness day! Here's hoping that I can return from vacation fitter than when I got here!
I love being active because I know that as time passes, I get healthier and healthier. That trend feels wonderful.
