Hopefully I won't have to do it again but realisticly if I find myself in that position I would go back to protein drinks only for a while and then full liquids, soft food, etc. In other words a post op diet. I think it was a good 2 weeks before I stopped craving them but I was hard core addicted at that point.
I look at it this way. I am a recovering alcoholic and I learned from day one that I couldn't have even a small amount of alcohol or it would turn on the cravings again. I apply that to the refined carbs like sugar and bread. One is too many and a hundred isn't enough.
