Weekly Fashion Post

i hit the clearance racks at Belk and got some awesome deals!  tops/jackets for work/church....mostly mix and match stuff to wear with my 4 pairs of dress pants (black, brown, grey and tan)  awesome stuff at great prices.  i think i wound up getting the goodies for about 80%off!  the cool part is.......most of the tops are a size SMALL!!!  oh my gosh....never been a small anything!!!  vanity sizing or whatever....i'll take it!  now i have plenty of winter stuff.  when warm weather finally gets here......well.....i'll cross that bridge when i get to it!

 I went to the thrift shop on post a few days ago.  Got 3 pairs of old navy and gap jeans for $1.50 each, one pair for $3 and one for $5. Oh yeah, in size 5's thank you very much.  Also picked up a strapless evening gown for $20, just because it fit and I could...LOL.

I got a new wool sweater at a church thrift store for $10 over the weekend.  I haven't worn it yet but it's really cute.  I'm buying things in small or medium which I think will fit me forever so I'm holding out for items that I really want to add to my wardrobe long term.  Now I need to clean out my closet again of all the things I won't be wearing come spring or next fall.

Jody, we need to see pics of you in the dress you're wearing tonight!  Don't think you're getting out of it!  :)

My 18W are big but the 16W don't fit yet so no go there.  Got a red cashmere pullover sweater XL at Target for $12.00.  Gotta love that.

And now for the silly (but great). I  put on a T shirt straight out of the drier and was really freaked out because it seemed tighter.  Turns out it wasn't mine.  It was my DHs!  My husband is MUCH smaller than me-he wears a sixe M tee shirt!  It was too tight to wear out of the house, but it definitely fit  I told him he better watch out or I would be raiding his closet soon!

I think its a lot of fun when we can wear others' clothes - and when you find out by accident!! LOL...

Sounds like everyone had a good week!  I need to clean out my closet this week. 

 

Score!!!

I hit goodwill today after school - found a pair of Gap Long and Lean (my favorite jeans) in a 4, and they FIT. Also found a cute pair of gray glen plaid slacks in a light weight wool with a pale pink stripe, and a pair of Banana Republic black trousers in a size 2 (yeah, their sizes are WEIRD). A couple of cute tops, an Aigner belt for 99 cents, and I'm very VERY happy!

Still need a khaki/stone pair of pants, so I'll try the goodwill a bit north of here next week. (and maybe another Long and Lean jeans!!!)
