I'm home

We're both on the loser's bench now, Liz!  You seem to be a bit quicker at getting up to speed...I am just glad to be up and walking and making sense at this time!  They let me nap whenever I wanted at the hospital...but it probably would have done no good to try to stop me...I really don't remember the 1st day at ALL and the second is really a blur too..althought I know I tried to be cooperative...all I can say is that today, 3 days post, I am doing pretty good and feeling like I might really be on the way now..finally.  I had to spend 4 hours in post op because they couldn't get my blood pressure up and staying there..my poor husband was SO scared..he is really stepped up and taking good care of me now..hope we both just keep getting better and better.!  ( I think it was of value that several of my caregivers in the hospital were post opsof various bariatric surgeries themselves!  very positive influence!)

Oh, Jeannie, you had a tough start then.

For some reason, I'm a tough ol' bird and can manage to come thru surgery pretty well. I was chomping at the bit to get up and get my first walk out of the way so I could get rid of the catheter then regretted it by being up every 10 mins all night long And I come out of anestethisa (sp) very quickly and easily. I always have.

Give yourself time, we both need to realize we are still in the crawling stage here. And you'll get up to speed in your own time.
