Anyone have a great recipe for goo ?

 Now that I've uncovered my garden   ..and the tulips and daffs  and even  the lilies are  showing their beautiful little  heads ... 

who do I see but  Mr  and Mrs SQUIRREL  and even OPOSSUM  tracks heading my way  digging them up for a  tasty  mid winter treat ?!!  

so I need  a  cheap n sleazy  low cost  preferably irritating  and  very gooey  concoction I can smear on  my fences  that will get on their lil paws  and  which  they  wont be able to lick off  easily  and  which will make them not want to come back for more .

 I was thinking  ... petroleum jelly  mixed with hot pepper  mixed with  , say gasoline ?  Anyone have any better  ideas  ? Maybe some stinky Eucalyptus oil thrown in  ?  

 

I know any hot pepper will get rid of moles, maybe if you mix some ceyenne pepper around it will repel them. Not sure will have to google it though

 Thanks Stacey  !  I have  JUST the stuff  - I accidentally bought   HOT  Hungarian red Paprika instead of SWEET ( trust me thats  plenty hot enough)    .. and  its been making my  landlord and guests  wince ever since ....

my landlord  finally got wise and HID  it  ...it'll be PERFECT to serve up  to the  bushy tailed RATS !!! 

human pee works wonders.... I'm not joking, and it is cheap and sleezy.

 a girlfriend of mine had animals digging up her lawn and eating her roses...she put a BIG plastic snake on her lawn...the kind you get at  toy stores or at costume stores.. her gardener swears by them because the animals are afraid of snakes....natural predators...it would scare me away...LOL...SEAVIEW

ROFL !!!!     Oh I  CANT WAIT To see what my  Brooklyn neighbors are going to think when I  start marking my garden's perimeter !!!!  ( they'd  probably  call animal control if I got a fake snake lol ! ) 


LOL  Im SURE   the squirrels ( and the neighbors )  would find the show  QUITE daunting  ... as  a matter of fact  I might just have the ENTIRE row of  backyards all to myself all summer LOL  !!  

seriously nitrogen rich "yellow liquid  " fertilizer is  often used  for Chinese  vegetables .... and  I have a regrettable habit  of forgetting this and TASTING  the amazing looking produce in the Chinese  grocery store  before stir frying it .  I havent died yet though ..or even gotten sick... 

This  is why Chinese  cuisine  uses  no raw vegetables .. because  night soil was  traditionally used as the fertilizer .  Hey its recyclycling at its best lol!!  

The stuff I mixed up is satisfyingly gooey , stinky AND irritating ....  im going out to smear it on the fence   .

Seeded all   alpine strawberries  at the landlord's  request ...  he was like a gleeful little kid last year  searching  under the  little  bushes in the  hanging baskets  for the delicious little juicy mouthfuls .

 Got him out there  watering and picking  a lot more than usual  so its all good ...men are like big kids  aren't they ?  Usually when i go sailing in the hottest part  ofthe summer its a garden disaster -  last sumer  it wasn't  thanks to the strawberries .

Maybe  Ill plant some in front and get those containers watered too  

 OHHH   I was  Naughty  !!!  I not only  smeared  my OWN fence  I jumped the fence  and  continued  to smear the squirrel highway  all along my neighbor's ....  

I know  she's in Italy  so  she didn't see  ... but she's sure to see the EVIDENCE  ... then  again maybe  she likes  to keep  her lily bulbs too.... 

the fat flying rat was out there  in the RAIN  ALREADY digging so the smearing came just in time ....

the drawbacks of being the first  all-U -can eat animal buffet  open on the block  lol

Im happy t report (  two hours later  )  that  they  still haven't come back     Its still a bit early to start doing the victory dance  but  ....  i can give a coupla JUMPS   .
