Good for you, Heather, for tackling your kitchen.  One of these days I need to re-organize my cabinets.

I'm so grateful for this board.  I lurk on another one, but rarely post because some of the people there are so snarky and seem to go out of their way to say hurtful things.  I've picked up some useful information there, but I have no desire to be part of the drama.

Good morning my friend!! How are you doing today?

Well, let's see...I feel like I'm trying to get out of the slump that I am in but there are days or moments that I slide right back into the sh*t. Same ole' trouble with the ds and dh is still away for 'business'. I started back on my mba program and am finding it exhilarating and yet stressful to be back in school. I had only taken an 8 month break but it felt like forever and how easy it is to wind down the routine when not in class. Sooooo the housework and other crap...hehehe gets done when I don't want to work on my homework AND homework gets worked on in the 11th hour...lol

On a good note....the scale is really nice to me and gave me a 130.8!! I am not sure if the downward momentum is because of my sinus infection and overall cooties, taking the antibiotics (bubble gut) or if it is the hard work I've been doing over the past 3+ weeks. I would like to say the latter BUT I will take what I got :)

I am so glad you got your Keurig. Now I will have to save up and look for the new upgraded ones...BUT I love mine a lot. So have lots of fun...and I have my own k-cup thingy...actually 2 of them so we have plenty of fresh beans on hand to grind and enjoy.

Well, back to work...allegedly...

Have a great day everyone!

Afternoon ladies,
Just a quick hello, back from a week's travel in the deep south.

Jody, healing energy comin' atcha from Drayden.   I thought you got the sisters hiked up, now you're mentioning that they FALL?  Whatdya mean?????

Roz, you're a great role model.  I arranged a shelf in my pantry just for my WLS stuff.  My bullet-style blender, all my jugs of unjury, my 12 protein samples in a basket, and my protein shakers.  I dislike having stuff out on my counters, so my shelf is perfect for me.  It's at eye level (which to most of you is belly button level), and the pantry is now devoid of any food which isn't a good idea for post-ops. DH has a cabinet he keeps all the junk food. I emptied the lazy susan, then moved all the heavy carbs there-- out of sight, out of mind.

Gina, you're also a great role model.  So far I've tried several protein powders, myofusion is my favorite-- in every flavor I've tried. Allmax All Whey Vanilla  is the only one so far I couldn't even get past my nose.   PHEWEE! Even mixed in coffee it was so yucky I was compelled to pitch it. Maybe if I had used milk it would have been better....

Who was it that suggested I visit some of the sites like eggface, or egghead, or whatever it was?  Thanks to you, I've got some good basic recipes.

Still waiting on the surgeon to confirm my surgery date, which is tentative for 15 Feb.  The insurance process for my surgery is now different from their normal procedure because of the tumor found during my EGD.  The tumor now makes surgery required, not optional. But since I said I wanted a gastrectomy, not just a resection, there are sure to be insurance questions.

Also, how do I get an angel?  And are angels only used for the surgery date?  I was kinda looking for an OWL (that's a wise OH LW) to talk to on the phone, on my nickel, of course.

Glad you liked eggface!  Another one to check out is http://bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com/.  I'd love to hear what you try out.

I'm sorry but I somehow missed what is happening in connection with the tumor.  Would you please provide the background.  I hope it is no big deal!

WTG on the ktichen, Heather !  What is it about this surgery that makes me want to organize?  Since my surgery, I have organized my closets, dresser, linen pantry, office cabinet, kitchen pantry, and kitchen drawers.  This from a woman who has not touched the domestic chaos for years and years.  i keep thinking it is the result of all my free time not eating!  :)
