Reader's Digest article
Excellent article in the January issue of reader's digest. Here is the web page of the condensed, onlin version. It preaches alot of what we follow:

I'm surprised at the 20 or less carbs. I usually do 50 or less and that isn't very many. I never eat more than 2, 1/4 c servings of potato or beans but that can push me over the 20.
I also try to watch the added fat and use low fat cheese.
Interesting.

I agree that the carb recommendation is too restrictive. The interesting part was about the proteins and some of the other info. This is based on Atkin's which is all about the protein and fat. What I really liked was the actual article that talks about the truth regarding less calories and more exercise and why those theories don't work. It talks about the fact that obesity is a disorder, not the result of a lazy lifestyle. We all know this, but the general population needs to be educated about this fact.
