Hey guys! I have been dealing with a stall for a week now, up and down up and down! I have some fruit last week and some juice. I am trying to break it down what I did other that the fruit and juice...it was a hard week I wanted snacks which are a no-no ...so if my calories and carbs are right does the fat amount mean alot. I know somethings have been a little fatty like sasuages etc. Anybody with a goal range of how much fat I sould limit a day? Thanks,Sherry!

I think if your carbs are over 25 or 30, you have to limit fat to lose. If you stay low carb and go into ketosis, fat doesn't matter. Remember Dr. Atkins.

I've been thinking about your response for a day now.  I think that may be part of my slow loss lately.  My carbs have been up, never over 50 and never more than 1/4c, 2x a day of potato, grits, oatmeat, beans.  But I don't really watch my fats either, just know that they add the calories really quickly.  I'm usually in the 700-800 calorie range. So if I need to be paying attention to one or the other, which??? and can I do different ones different days???

Stalls are really pretty common.  Every few weeks, I spend the week bouncing around and then I will go back to losing.  This time I had a bounce week, a lose week, then started bouncing again.  As long as I am tracking my protein, my nut is happy.  I also keep track of the calories and carbs for me.  The program I use is on this website and it does track fat too.  I am often surprised to see what percentage of my calories is fat, even when I have no added fat at all.  So from the low fat cheese and the meats.  I try to not have too many fatty meats but I do have some.  I love sausage so I try to stick to turkey.  I do pepperoni pretty often as a snack but put it between 2 layers of paper towels and microwave for 45 sec.  Crispy and the fat dissolves.  Yeah.
I eat an orange or an apple every so often.  I don't drink juice cause I don't want to drink my calories, other than my protein.

Mini-stalls are nature's way of catching up with rapid weight loss. You might want to think about shaking things up with your exercise or increasing your liquid intake. I was told by my dietician to try to stay below 5 gs of fat per serving. It is not always possible but usually do-able given typical portions.

I say not to worry - this is a marathon, not a race.

I suddenly started craving fat like mad probably because i neglected to take my NECESSARY fats for optimal cell regeneration in capsule form fora while ( evening primrose oil and flaxseed oil - theyre two different types of Omegas ) anyway ..

I rationalized eating Armenian string cheese .... and pistachios which are so " good for the heart " oh and the skin off smoked mozzarell ( becasue it was with wine and that dissolves the fat , right ?)

hmmm.... im 4 lbs up now ....GRRRRRRRR my theory is that anyone with empty fat cells is CRAZY to eat fat because our bodies just want to FILL THEM BACK UP lol ..... and will do so given the slightest opportunity .....
