vent/update on "ex friend"

I posted a while back about my two ex best friends just up and ignoring me out of no where. Well anyways, I tried contacting both of them and they both ignored me. So I moved on and accepted that we are no longer friends. Today my brother had a class with one of them and she told him "Oh Becky and I are not friends anymore because all she does is go out." Ummm......I went out for my birthday in early November and then I went out for New Years Eve....apparently according to her doing anything other than laying in bed all day is considered "going out". So either she considers me "having a life" as going out all the time OR that's just what she told him to avoid the real answer. Regardless or the reason, it shouldn't bother me because i'm making positive changes in my life and I don't need any heavy weight but it does get under my skin a bit!

She may not even be aware enough to know why she doesn't want to be around you.  Some folks seriously lack insight.

You are doing great, don't let them get you down.

Fkcu her and the horse she rode in on.  You can't figure folks out so why even try.  You've got a wonderful positive present and future.  Those former friends have to find their own lives.  Congrats on letting go of the dead weight.

Bwahahaha! Ditto what MSW said! Why do people have to be so jealous? I don't get it! Unfortunately I'm in my 40's and girls are still that way! What's weird is that even the skinny ones are like that too!

Well, I'm sorry your two best friends have dropped your friendship.  From your picture I can see you are a very pretty girl, and they are probably not dealing with the changes.  They an't admit it because it would show them for what they really are.  Go make yourself some new friends to go with the new you.

You deserve friends who love you whether you are heavy or fit, whether you go out every night or are a homebody. I say good riddance to these folks. I wish for you that you can let go of any remaining baggage (in your heart and soul) so you can make more room for new true friends.

True friends are happy for you when you make positive changes...these girls are jealous. You have your head on straight...you know what's up. Surround yourself with positive people that build you up...I went through this phase too a few years ago...its hard but you will come out a much better person for it!

You are doing great...so happy for you!!

Pretty much EVERYONE of our couple friends (wifes) no longer talk to me, and if they do, it's only because we are in a group setting and they have to. I have learned in the last year, that they were never really my friends like I thought. It was okay to be the heavy one, but now as the thin one..not so much! I am making new friends and enjoying the new me. Don't let them change who you are! And enjoy being you! Because you deserve it!!
