Indygirl, you keep posting, we'll keep supporting you! Don't stuff your feelings, get 'em out there.
Let me tell you a bit of a story, and see if you don't understand where I'm going with it.
About 20 years ago, I lived on the third floor apartment, no elevator. At an auction, I bought an entire set of encyclopedias, 30 HUGE books in all. The box weighed WAY TOO MUCH for me to carry up the stairs all by myself. But I didn't know anyone in the condo who I could ask to help me. The wretched set sat in the back of my car for 2 weeks until one day after work I had an aha moment.
I carried ONE book up three flights of stairs to my apartment.
The next day, after work, I carried another book upstairs. Some days, I carried two, and a few days, I made an extra trip or two and carried a couple more up. At the end of two weeks, my encyclopedias were all lined up on my bookcase shelf.
You get the idea.
Possibly you could consider tackling your caloric intake battles the same way. Break your meals and snacks down into units. Some units you puree, some you don't. Some days you try another protein drink so you can find one you like, other days you don't.
Break it down into manageable units. Don't eat the entire elephant. Slice the tail.
For your emotional ups and down, well, I'm already there, and I haven't even had surgery yet. So I can relate. Would you consider writing a letter telling yourself what it was like before your surgery? To help you remember why you took the WLS surgery and revision steps...
Also, possibly if your financial condition or health insurance policy allows, you might want to consider therapeutic massage? My personal experience is that my back aches terribly if I spend too much time in bed. I can only imagine what yours feels like. Anyway, a professional massage therapist would know where and how to assist your muscles in releasing tension, and could advise you on gentle stretches that might give you some relief.
Sending healing energy your way, and I'm swingin' geckos and labradoodles for you.
