Good Morning. Good luck today, Jody
Rebecca, are you talking to me?? If yes, that avi was taken 1 year ago during my pre-op diet. I was already down 20 pounds. I'm looking at it for a few days to remind me from where I've come.
How are you healing? When do we get to see pictures from your PS?

Add my well wishes to Jody! She's gonna get even hotter (if that is possible).
I watched the game yesterday. I'm a Giants fan but I had my hat in the ring for the Jets. That was a mess. I'm gonna root for the Packers in the Superbowl because I love their mid-western'ness. Just strikes me as really american.
I made turkey chili for yesterday's game. It was a hit (and very WLS friendly although I didn't tell the guys). Not sure about the superbowl party. No plans yet.

I've been thinking about Jody and hope she has a great surgery and a fast recovery. If I ever have anything done it will be that surgery. Good luck to the others having their WLS's this week also.
I don't care much about pro football. I like to watch some college. I'd rather read a good book or watch a good movie. DH and the rest of the family love it and don't care what kind of ball it is!!
Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Swinging preschoolers for Jody! (different school today - kindergarten is in another wing).
Superbowl party with Glenda G - she'll be back in town for the weekend. We'll probably take a rollup: carb control plus tortilla, cream cheese, ham, garlic, and green onions all mixed together, rolled in ham slice and tortilla, and then cut into 1/2 inch slices. Stats aren't terrible, and most people like them.
I was hoping for the Bears - but now I'm rooting for the Steelers!

Prayers for Jody. I hope all goes well.
My hubby is so excited, he is a big steelers fan. I think we will be having some company. I hope we will because it makes it is so much easier to manage food at home. If not I will think of something to bring, or my mug with a shake in it.
Maybe my slow cooker with chili or pulled pork, or hubby loves his sloppy joes. Thank goodness he is an easy man to please!
Swinging lizards for all are postop today!

Awww - thanks Gina and everyone! It was sweet to hear I was on peoples' minds this morning!
I'm done and back at my DD's house. What do you think was one of the first things I saw when I woke up? My sweet little Granddaughters' face smiling at me! Soo precious! Got flowers from the BF and he was all torn up he couldn't be here for me. Talked to him on the phone on the way back.
The surgery was 5 1/2 hours long. The Anesthesiologist was great - very personable man. I learned a few things about Bariatric patients (RNY and DS) and anesthesia. As we already know, we malabsorb water, so they have to put even MORE into you during any operative procedure. Also because we do malabsorb they have to adjust the sleepy medicine to accomodate.
I'm very sore. In the room where woke up I was having stabbing pains, they readjusted the bra and that seemed to help. I got saline implants put under the muscle - hence the muscle pain. I am having problems doing ANYTHING that requires any real type of effort from the arms. I'm SO glad I didn't have the TT with it also...
Have Loritab for pain management. I forgot my timer to set for the night... oh well... I'll figure it out. They also gave me a Cipro script. He does worry about infection. I'm still a little loopy fro the anesthesia and percocet they gave me. I had the nurse cut the percocet in half because of my issues with swallowing larger pills. It worked.
But, the best part of all????
NO DRAINS! WooHoo!!
Again, thanks everyone! I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers that came my way today.
