Good Morning. Cranky
Then, I wake up to a panic post that we LWs deal with all the time; going a little low weight-wise, looking sickly for a short time, and then having a nice little bounce back. What frustrates me is folks, including the doc, recommending lots of carbs, more food, creon and maybe revision surgery. You guys, don't do any of that, please. It's a process your body goes through...it's normal. You get to your lowest weight (maybe it's 20-22BMI), you look like a melted candle, you have a little bounce back and your skin tightens and you get a little layer of healthy fat redistribution filling out the hard lines of your face, neck and shoulders. Please don't panic and don't listen to people telling you look sick and think you need to fix it.
Ok, maybe I'll nap a little...

I love your posting...Direct and straight to the point! I haven't had surgery yet! But when I do I'm waiting for my family and other people to say that to me.....My responce to them is.....Oh I look sick now but didn't when I was at 240.... :) Anyways I know I will come across it atleast a few times.
Anyways have a good rest!
God Bless
I rarely hear that since I'm at goal. I think people are finally getting use to the new me.

I've been eating good, my clothes fit great, I think I have less wrinkles on my face, and my upper arms aren't looking near as bad as they were...so why am I so upset over the couple pounds I've gained???
I think there is a number that just sounds like "failure" to me or maybe it's "fear" which is also really stupid. I know I've been successful, 'm no where near being a failure, eating hasn't be a major struggle, and I have no intentions on eating like I use to. I'm super happy with the way I look and so is my DH... so I just need to stop panicking and start enjoying my new healthy life.

see ya lighter,

I know that my "melted candle" look won't happen until I hit the 145 or lower mark. I've been 147 before and looked great so I know I'll be okay to that point. After that, all bets are off. LOL.

I am amazed that some people don't even notice. I had dinner last night with friends, a couple. They knew about surgery, saw me about a month ago, and he has the nerve to ask if I have lost any more weight. His wife, of course, noticed and was thrilled for me. I guess I should be grateful that some people didn't see me only as a fat person. I have known him for 40 some years, and his wife for 28. They have seen me go up and down from every diet, trips to a spa, every whackadoodle plan out there. Maybe he gave up on noticing.
Anyway, it was fun to see them. He grilled New York strip steaks, made baked potatoes and a big salad. I said, don't make a steak for me, I can eat just a small corner. He insisted on a whole steak. Now I have leftovers to eat all week! I had no potato and picked a few things out of the salad, not the lettuce. This is amazing to me, since they always have lots of food and appetizer stuff and I used to love "pigging out" there. Sometimes I'd stop at Baskin-Robbins on the way home, because they don't have desserts. Times have changed.
Enjoy your nap.
