Our newest daily thread.......MORNING COFFEE!
Thanks for this new thread, Heather. This is such a great idea. I only wish I had some decaf magically in front of me but it is too close to lunch time to drink.
I had a big morning. I went to my old gym for a session with my old trainer. It's been a year and a half since we worked together but it felt like old times. I like him because he is very fit but as a man in his fifties, he understands slow and steady. I am sure to be stiff on Monday but my body was very happy to be moving. What can I say - I am on an endorphin high! I hope the increased activity will help with my scale slow down this week.
I also came home to a new intercom system. My condo building has been dealing with a possessed doorbell for the last six months. Who know I could be so excited by an intercom system? I am just a woman who appreciates simple pleasures.
One issue for everyone - do you have a "fashion" medical alert bracelet? What does it say? What did it cost? Where can I get it? Thanks! I am shopping the web and would love some advice.
Enjoy your Saturday!
Amy

Also, those protein coffees, are they all with sweet protein powders? The artificial sweeteners still get to me, even stevia, because it tastes like licorice and I have never like that flavor in anything, fennel, anise seed, etc. Well, I got that boring share out there.
Now with Jody's surgery in mind (hope in a few years I have the funds to do plastics), how do you decide when to get new bras? I am now on the last set of hooks and this morning, I noticed a crease in each cup. I want to get nice bras, but not till I feel I am at goal and somewhat stable. How often did you change bras in the losing process?
Thanks, Heather for this idea, I wanted to ask these questions for a while.
Find some sales and get some cheaper ones to start. When you're done losing go ahead and invest in a VS or Nordstroms bra that will fit you well. I think we "typically" can't find off-the-shelf bras that work well for us (I couldn't anyway). Seems too much skin make the cups bigger than they normally would be... so a measurement of 32 at the ribs and the cup of D is one you don't find at Penneys!
I think I only changed bras 2 or 3 times, at the most. I lived with the "crease" for quite awhile. But my "girls" were the last to go.

My girls aren't leaving too quickly. I've only gone from 42DD to 36DDD in 11 months. I did change several times. I changed at 40, then 38, then 36. I went to Kohl's and found some great bras on sale for around $11 each that have done me well. I have to admit to only have 3 and washing them constantly. I don't know if I will get smaller, but I image I will as the next 15-25 pounds leaves me.
Someone here on OH sent me several bras that I have since passed along to other post-ops. Someone may have some fairly new bras that they would pass along to you if that didn't feel creepy to you. What size are you sporting?
I think the most important thing is that you feel good about how you look. If you're wearing thrift store clothing and clothing exchange stuff, treat yourself to at least 1 new bra every time you change sizes.

I need to be patient and go to Target or Ross and find something, just keep trying, at least I am in the size ranges those places sell.
Sorry about the date, but he sounds like a nice guy. So happy you are venturing into the dating world. I cannot fathom having the energy or courage. Maybe that comes when you look as good as you do. I enjoyed your comment about the man needing to be self supporting, not needing him to take care of you, just be able to take care of himself!!! I'm with you on that. Would also be nice if he picked up the tab at dinners and events.
