A little WOW that meant a lot to me!

I found this WOW a little commical since I've been on the  "don't eat  "BAD" Carbs" kick on my M&M posts this week.

My DH LOVES fresh baked bread everyday.  Our local grocery store sales Tuscany Bread in their bakery dept. and up until the last month I have stopped at least 5 days a week to pick him up a fresh loaf for as long as I can remember...its been years and years.

Well one day they were out and the Bakery Manager said I can sell you a frozen loaf (they are half baked).  Well that has turned out to be an answer to one of my Prayers.  You put it in the microwave for 8 min. and in the oven for 15 and you got very fresh baked bread.  I can go to the grocery store once a week now.....YEAH!!!

Here is the WOW.....I stopped to pick up his usual 7 frozen loafs and the lady behind me in line asked if I was having a party.  I explained about the bread and she said ......"You are so tiny, I know you aren't eating that bread every day".....First I laughed and then I thanked her several times for the compliment.

Every single day I'm tempted by the smell of fresh baked bread but because of all of you  *****ad and those of you who post on M&M I've been able to control those urges.  Thank You for keeping me accountable!!!!!!

Roz

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

Oh my gosh, you are a better woman than I am.  I stopped baking bread when I went on Optifast but I am a great bread baker.  Even if my DH were begging, I wouldn't bake bread for him.  I could not resist the smell of fresh baked bread.  In fact the other day he brought home a single serving bag of olive oil and rosemary potato chips that I tried and it brought back all the fresh bread feelings. Luckily, he is fine with plain sandwich bread, it is me that has the problem with fresh baked bread.

What a wonderful wow, Roz. You must really love that man to provide him with the smell of freshly baked bread. I would have to wear nose clips!

You are such a good wife. I would have to wear noseclips, too. The smell of fresh bread is so wonderful. I once had a boyfriend who said if I could find a perfume that smelled like freshly baked bread he'd marry me. Fortunately, there isn't one, cause he turned out to be a louse.

I can ignore most carbs, but the smell of freshly baked bread is the one I can NOT ignore, so I would pray for the "mother of all colds" on a permanent basis if I did that. LOL

At one point in time, I did bake our own bread, boy was that a colossal mistake on my part.

That;s why I have never asked for a bread machine, it would really get me in trouble, hot bread and butter.......well enough of that, time for more liquids..........Brenda

Fresh baked bread would definitely be a downfall for me if I were around it for more than 10 seconds.  It's amazing Roz that you have been able to bake bread for your DH for all these years.  He must be the most incredible man on the planet to have you do that for him.   I stopped baking several years ago and have not taken it back up.

I'm so glad you got that great compliment to make you feel good!

Roz - that's a GREAT wow - on 2 levels.

1st - you do this for your hubby! That is the ultimate sacrifice.  I honestly can say I would be back at 180 if I did that...

2nd - the lady behind the counter - that's great when people say that to you, especially after the hard work you've been through.
